GLOW 08-05-2021 06:56 PM

i googled it, iOS, android, and switch. surprised it's not on other platforms.

Bender Unit 08-06-2021 02:53 PM

Pokemon Unite

My son just start playing it.
I was watching beside him. It looks fun and don't mind paying $$ for it.

but it is FREE Game

GLOW 08-06-2021 04:35 PM

do you need an online membership or can you play without one by yourself with a bunch of bots?

No online membership required

It's pretty much download and turn key ready to play

It's not the best experience from videos that I've seen. on PC, Civ you can zoom out quite a bit and see a lot of the map. On the switch, you zoomed in quite a bit so you can't see much of what's going around the map. Mostly due to the limitation of the switch. It is definitely playable

Hondaracer 08-09-2021 02:41 PM

I actually ended up purchasing Civ VI on sale fromthe online store right now for $22

Bit of a learning curve and not exactly what I expected but I’m enjoying it. Helps to watch a few YouTube videos on basic strategy. Definitely a game that can suck you in

The switches controls are quite intuitive but I use the touch screen quite a bit as well. Great for handheld but I’ve yet to play on the TV

SkinnyPupp 08-09-2021 04:42 PM

Did it come with all the expansion packs? Because they make HUGE changes to the game. It basically becomes Civ 6.89 or whatever.

I've been tempted to get a "season pass" (basically a bunch of new civs + play modes but I just want the civs) but they're a bit too expensive even when on sale. Hoping for a deep discount one day

ewong 08-09-2021 10:09 PM

Civ 6 w expansion pack is still $70 according to this website

Only the base game for $22

Gonna have to watch a few more videos as I played a 275 round game and ended up losing because of another civ on a different continent..

How was the performance as you made your way into the late game?

Hondaracer 08-10-2021 04:09 PM

My cities were a bit spaced out so I can definitely tell the experience would be better on PC as I preferred to have my camera zoomed in to see the finer detail. And as a result your always scrolling etc. Much harder to see/manage units although I think I probably had too many anyways

The visuals later on into the modern era etc. Looked fine actually the city animations are probably scaled back a bit but it didn’t take away from anything. Nor did the game ever get bogged down or have any choppiness really.

The only time I really noticed any slow downs is when you did a bunch of stuff at once that basically effected how the computer reacts to you and it might have taken an extra second or two to compute that

ewong 08-31-2021 08:59 PM

If you guys are looking to buy the Civ 6 expansion packs apparently Anthology Upgrade Bundle is on sale.

https://www.dekudeals.com/items/sid-...upgrade-bundle

It's essentially the expansion pack + the frontier pass for $35

Also the base game is on sale for $12

Razor Ramon HG 09-03-2021 01:12 AM

Anyone play Quake on the Switch yet?

I picked it up and beat the first episode earlier.

Brings back memories of all those shareware copies on the AOL discs.

Haven't tried the expansions, but there's I think 4 included.

It's been a while since this thread has been updated.

Nintendo recently released a update for the system where it allows you to use Bluetooth headphones now finally!

Currently playing Metroid Dread, it's a solid game. Gives me throwback memories on the SNES days with Super Metroid.

woah, how come i didn't hear about this, where do you pair in the settings?!
or is this only for the newer larger screen model that recently was released?

also they recently announced a premium online membership rolling out where you get N64 and genesis games with controllers available for purchase.

interesting it comes with a few restrictions, and says no microphone, so you can only listen but not trash talk to kids online i guess.

guess if you want to wirelessly mic up you still need an adapter.

Razor Ramon HG 10-18-2021 02:38 PM

I believe the Bluetooth support was added with FW 13.0.0.

Anyone hear of this Nickelodeon Smash Bros?

Looks fun, might buy it, lol.

It's either that or Tetris Effect.. but $40 seems overkill for it as much as I love Tetris.

GLOW 10-18-2021 03:42 PM

i saw it but wasn't sure if i was gonna pay $50 for it :lol

If you love portable Tetris then you must get Tetris Effect. My wife hasn't played Tetris 99 (160+ hours) since she got this title. The visual and audio is really cool and chill. I love all the themes. The 'zone' ability is an interesting addition.

Razor Ramon HG 10-18-2021 04:00 PM

Forgot to mention I already have it on PC because of Xbox Game Pass. Was playing it with my Oculus VR and it's truly next level.

I guess it should be do I want to pay $40 to play Tetris Effect in bed or on the can, lol.

lilaznviper 10-26-2021 04:28 PM
