Anyone have a reliable pack of roms to add?

Anyone who’s added additional games do they work as well as the preloaded games? Any problems?

just download the ones you want. every game has worked for me so far except DBZ+ Street Fighter Alpha 2

whats amazing is that 60 games is like 50MB lol and you get about 220MB of spare space

After a weekend of playing, my left thumb hurts.

Such a satisfying and nostalgic pain.

Koflach 11-06-2017 08:30 AM

They really need to make one of these for the SNES classic.

I can still quick run 100% in super metroid albeit 20 minutes slower than when my fingers were still nimble and young, but i still get to see samus in a swimsuit. :fullofwin: Mockball, sequence breaking for the win. Crocomire boiling in the acids of Norfair is still the most satisfying SNES moment in all of my decades gaming.

No need to line up. I went to my local toys R us at 10:40 and got one no problems no line up.

SkinnyPupp 11-18-2017 02:25 AM

Are they still hard to get? I randomly came across one at Sogo the other day, for $900 HKD (115 USD) for the US version and $800 for the Japanese version

Vansterdam 11-18-2017 03:24 AM

the thing is they sell out instantly when they hit online stocks and AFAIK, Toysrus recently has been the only one to announce when and which stores will have stock.

This location is the only one in BC that will have some until who knows when the next restock is.

EB gets weekly shipments, however, some of the people working there are clowns and wont tell you when they usually get them in. The stores almost always get their shipments at the same time each day, so in my experiance, you pretty much have to be waiting there for them to open their shipment up.

I did this at 2 different EB's before i got mine, the guy at the one i got mine from at 72nd by the BC hydro complex there was great and told me exactly when they get them in etc. Even then i had to wait 45 minutes till the shipment came in and by then there were 8 people waiting for the 6 they got

Nabatron 11-19-2017 12:25 PM

^give us a heads up on when they drop!

Vansterdam 11-20-2017 01:19 AM

finally got street fighter alpha 2 working btw!

First download this patch zip file: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6...i1wVTRIWk9vQmc Extract it to a new folder.

Second, download and extract a USA Street Fighter Alpha 2 rom into that same folder.
https://www.loveroms.com/download/su.../11897#captcha

Thirdly, download a program called Lunar IPS https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/240/ . Open Lunar ips, choose to Apply IPS patch, and choose the "WUP-JCGE-PCM.ips" file from the extracted patch which is in the folder. Obviously then choose the Alpha 2 Rom as the destination file to patch. Once that completes successfully, close Lunar IPS. You then drag the Alpha 2 (which is now patched) ROM file on top of the "make_sfrom_pcm.bat" file in the extracted folder, and it will run a script and create a new output file. This output file will end in .sfrom (rather than SMC like a normal SNES rom) - this .sfrom file is the file you will use to add into Hakchi for your mini snes.

only games I found not working so far are WWF Super Wrestlemania, Earthworm Jim 2, Power Rangers Fighting Edition, Dragon Ball Z , Top gear 3000

gonna test out and see if they will work once I use this method as well :)

Razor Ramon HG 11-20-2017 11:17 AM

Those games all work if you use Retroarch

How early does one need to line up to snag one of these? I think it would be cool to have but I'm also not down to waste 4 hours standing in the rain outside a Toys R Us....

68style 11-22-2017 07:01 PM

^ You go super early, they give you a voucher and you can go home until 10am at the latest... you don’t need to stand outside the whole time
