How are the line ups at the mall for switching? I've been on hold with Rogers for 40 minutes now out of an estimated 3 hour wait time and I need to leave for work in an hour.. lol |
Apparently if you are existing customers. You have to call in and switch. I went to the mall and they told me they can't do that in store for this plan for existing customer. I'm with bell |
Has anyone tried to upgrade on Fido if you're already with Fido?? |

11:35 AM connected to Fido Live Chat 1:09 PM someone sent me a message back 1:34 PM finished Upgraded from $60/6GB BYOP from last year's boxing day. Which lacked access to Fido Roam (Roam Like Home), but had 1000 LD minutes. So now I'm paying the same amount for 4GBs more and access to Fido Roam. Also has 6 month Spotify premium and that Data Bytes stuff. Wasn't making use of the 1000 LD minutes anyways, so no loss there. |
so the roaming feature is free? or it costs $7/day if you use it? |

EDIT: I've been in out of province plans for the last three years, and Koodo hasn't said or mention anything about it when I call into customer service. Rogers and Fido on the other hand will push and shove you into a corner, forcing you into a in market plan. Or to tell you to suck it up cause they're jacking up the monthly service fees. |
Went to Willowbrook Telus. In and out in 30 minutes with a Pixel 2 in hand. Need to fix my online credentials though, for some reason I can't attach the account to my existing login because it was signed up as a corporate account. |
If you can get access to someone who works at Freedom Mobile, you can get the 10GB for $32.50... the coverage and signal is better then before.. so its improving... you also get access to Shaw Wifi hotpots, if you arent currently a shaw customer... |

garbageeeee......... cant compare to my signals in the same exact location she barely has any bars in certain spots. and please dont take the $85 10gb plan for a free phone, its a rip off. Get your own phone and keep the BYOD $60 plan |
For those of you who switched to the $60 promo plan, were you guys still tied to a contract with the company or contract free? Would they switch your plan to the promo plan if you still have 9 month left on the contract with them? TIA |
I bought my S8 outright from Samsung and since I was a Fido customer before switching, my device is locked to Fido. I am now switched to Rogers. Who is responsible for providing the network unlock code? Is it Rogers? |
Does anyone know what bells deal includes? I'm currently on a 6gb corporate plan for $65. But I don't have Canada wide calling or mms |
Current Fido customer here and I switchedtoday @ the Fido kiosk inside Lougheed Mall. No lineups and was out of there in 5 mins. The sales rep did try to upsell me by getting a Pixel 2 phone for free if I take the $85/month plan but I quickly declined. I knew it was coming. I also double checked with the rep that the Fido version of this plan is 10GB permanently like Bell's. The documents still say 5GB + 5GB (24months expiry). I told him to add in that it is now permanent, just in case they somehow decide to change it. |

I switched from Fido to Rogers because I wasn't too worried about which carrier to go with because they all have the promo on the 10gig plan. So after switching to rogers I find out rogers only has Canada wide texting in the promo plan and to add U.S and international texting its $5 extra on top where as fido has international texting included in the $60 plan, so I went back and switched back to fido with the $60 plan. |

I got home around 5:30 am from work and decided to call Rogers since their timezone is EST and was on hold for about an hour before speaking to a rep and once the plan was going to be finalized, I think the rep accidentally ended the call meaning I had to wait another hour to get through and the same thing happened with the second rep. Thankfully the second rep I talked to called me back to confirm it went through, fuck lol. Finally going to sleep now |
Rogers/Fido/Telus/Koodo/Virgin/Bell $60/mnth unlimited calling 10gb data Quote:
