I think I need a new battery... lol.
If I'm on data usage all day on a regular basis, my battery drainage would be more inconvenient than having to worry about going over my data limit.

I've been waiting since 10am..been been more then 4.5 hrs now. Too bad I'm not on my mothers account where I can go into a fido kiosk and try to change the plan there. Do you guys think Walmart or costco would be able to change the plan on the spot?

EDIT: Actually waited 5 hours to get a hold of fido rep

For u guys who signed first day of the promotion 5gb + 5gb expiry 2 years.
Did Rogers/fido automatically update ur account to 10gb no expiry? Or do I have to call in again to make the changes permanent?

Mine only says talk and txt with 5gb- no tab
Under "what's included in the plan" doesn't reference anything about the 5gb bonus.

Is something wrong here?

called Bell this morning and set up a call back for 3:30 this afternoon, they called me at 3:28 took less then 5mins and I received the deal. Talk about wicked it comes to $67.00 with tax and I didn't have to wait on hold at all.

Haven't looked online yet but I got a text message from them today stating the plan has been changed to 10gb with no expire vs 5 + 5 plus expire after 24months.

P.s. I did this Sunday morning through livechat at 4am

Is today the last day for fido for this deal? I could be sworn earlier I saw it saying "offer ends Dec 18" and now I'm seeing Dec 19. Did it just extend a day...or am I confused with a different company??

I wouldnt be surprised if they will raise prices, like they did with that $40 4gb promo with 1000min LD calling awhile back..

Sure you can leave, since its no on contract, but there really isnt anything else thats good swtiching too after promos are done.. lol

there are no credits though, so there's nothing to raise or remove to make the bill more expensive

as long as you buy your devices outright, could have this plan forever potentially

when they raise of the price of the $40 plan, they didnt have to remove anything.. they just simply said to cover the cost not able to charge anymore for phone unlocking.. and raise the price to $45

Finally after 2 hours at the bell store got the plan. Basically all major network computer are down. When I was singing up with bell their network crash like 3 times lol.

Now I need to port my number to them but I forgot my 4 digit pin code from Fido. Have to go to their store in a few days to reset it.

If they do one of their crooked raise from $60 to $70. It's still a deal for 10gb.

rogers and fido is dec 18

telus, koodo, bell should be 19th

I just signed up and got a confirmation email of my account changes with fido, but no where does it say 10gb. Here's what it says

They can always raise the price of the plan itself, Rogers did that to me a few times even after my credits expired.

Telus and Koodo announced from the start it'd end on the 19th.

In the 16+ years of being with Rogers I don’t remember once ever just having an increase without it being the result of credits ending etc.

I work for one of the companies involved but not in cellular and this type of offer from Rogers fucks with the pocket books harddd of other carriers especially so close to year end and most likely unexpected. To stop dat churn of customers you are forced to match the deal

Is not like Rougers/Fido have a choice. I was on their online chat at 9am. Also message them FB and tweet. Waited till around 2pm when I got up from my desk to grab water literally around a min. Got back to my desk and saw the agent who did the chat couldn't bother to wait and just end chat. No one on FB or tweet reply even posting on their fourms does nothing. Had enough and went to bell.

On my Rogers App it only shows the 5gb no tab. But they emailed me two receipts. The first one was switching to this plan and the second was a bonus 5gb. I had it on two separate receipts because they had to manually add the 5gb bonus in-store.

How long after signing the contract did u get this receipt?
Did u do it in person? I did it thru the Rogers app, so didn't get a receipt.

One of my friend had a txt from Rogers confirming the plan, but I still haven't received my txt...

One of my buddies in the exact same situation. Been on hold with customer service for hours with Rogers, gives up, and then tries in store....eats up more time.

Told him to just sign up for Koodo and carry on with the rest of the day.

Was with Fido for 10 plus years before I switched to Koodo for the deal. Time is money especially for the people who live in Vancouver. I was not going to wait hours on the phone for the deal where I can walk up to any other carrier's kiosk and just port over. Besides, Telus cell signal is just as good as Rogers anyway.

I also tried the live chat for Telus last night around 4pm for the wife. The Cue was 779 people in front of me lol. No thanks.
