Talked to live chat this morning around 4am (7am est). Waited 30 min for a rep to come online and switched the plan/confirmed some things and was done in 15min or so. Below is a copy of my plan detail in my online account

Confirmed that this plan is PERMANENT.
If you are to do the live chat, I would recommend to save the conversation for future reference. Remember to ask about it being permanent and that the 10GB is a confirmed item - or you can have them copy and paste the plan in the convo.

I wonder if they will automatically bump my plan to 10 GB permanently. I called them Friday afternoon for the 5 + 5 bonus for 24 months. Yesterday I figured out that they offered the 10 GB permanently.

Ended up jumping ship from Telus to Bell. Had a corporate account with Telus and I couldn't get through the phone

I didn't and I feel a hell of a lot better. Public attracted customers cuz they were cheaper than everybody else. But now they're not, there's really no reason to still use them. Before I had their 90 day 12 gb plan for $120, but the 10 gb for $60 plan is way better plus other companies actually have customer service unlike Public.

I went into the kiosk at Lynn Valley Centre and the guy wouldn't do it for me and said I have to call in?

Rogers Kiosk.

all done... although total hold time between 2 calls were about 1.5hours.

my goals were to:
1. change out my corp plan to the $40/4gig
2. port over a FIDO line to the $40/4gig
3. open up a brand new line for my little kid $20/talktext no data

first try: got a hold of someone sat evening - his 'system' was down and he could not make changes to anything. BUT he told me he would call me back Sunday.

2nd try: called in on Sunday - she could not make changes to my business account and told me to call back on a weekday when they were open. (sigh)

3rd try: went to a retail store at the local mall and was flatly shut down on above goals.

4th try: didnt expect this at all, but the dude from the 1st try called me back and got it all done . sometimes miracles do happen, lol.

imo, everyone should avoid rogers/fido like the plague. they will jack your prices up come next year. koodo is the only real solid option. i jumped from the koodo $48/5gb plan to fido $60/10gb plan but now im going to go back to koodo for their $60/10gb plan.

just did the $60 10gb, but thinking i should save the $10 and just go to the $50 6gb since i rarely go above 4gb.

Because I had a corporate with Telus before (I still have a bill credit with that account), it won't let me link my new Telus account because the new account number is a "corporate" account number. No, bullshit, someone fucked up.

Anyone else having this problem after registration?

i got all my info from RFD. ( [Rogers Wireless] Rogers $40/4GB $50/6GB Targetted thread ) This plan is actually for pre paid chatr/rogers customers looking to migrate

You gotta be patient and persistent. I talked to 4 agents on phone and 3 online. It was brutal but i was able to get 5 lines changed which includes one ported from Fido as well.

Don't be discouraged you have until Dec 31'st to get this.

All i said was i was looking to change to the $40 4gb plan and had the plan number

$50 MIGM42227

I have a share everything plan with two lines paying approx $180 sharing 8gb of data l, I’m only about half way through a 2 year term

Anyone have a similar situation and change plans without paying out he remainder of contract?

I tried hitting up best buy and bell store but they won't change my plan, even though the girl on the phone said they will. I'm still currently on hold for over an hour already.

Don't even know if this is worth it anymore. Haha

Currently I'm on $59 plan. 6gb. Everything else is the same as this $60 10gb plan.
Would be nice to have the extra 4gb. But not needed...lol

Are you still paying off a device? I'd imagine you'd have to pay off the remainder of the balance before they would let you switch.

Thanks for clarifying that, when I checked my plan this afternoon the plan said only 5GB and not 10GB
