online chat isn't working for Bell right now, I just called and I'm having them call me back between 330-340 today.

damn, I've been away from vancouver too long to remember how expensive telecom is. I love my $18/m unlimited country wide LTE data and talk here in shanghai :D

Hondaracer 12-18-2017 09:24 AM

fuck shits a joke.. every number to call just disconnects, online site just drops :/

Mr.HappySilp 12-18-2017 09:25 AM

Been on fido chat for 2 hours lol. They are also no answering tweets....... maybe I should just wall in to bell and port my number out.

Do you also love your restricted internet and big brother watching everything you do? Lol

Looks like I was the only one who sweet talked their way into getting a rep at a Fido kiosk to switch their plan. No waiting over the phone... took her 10 minutes :fullofwin:

My account online says 5 GB, but I received a text yesterday saying my 10 GB plan is permanent...

immorality 12-18-2017 09:38 AM

I tried going into a Telus store this morning, the rep said that they can't to the $60/10gb/BYOD plan in store. When I call in, it usually automatically hangs up before the call starts, and when I do get through it hangs up after about 3 minutes.

The_Situation 12-18-2017 10:28 AM

Was on fido chat since 7am. Finally got through and updated to the new plan no problem.

with a side of stinky air and pollution free . no thanks

Hondaracer 12-18-2017 10:37 AM

After trying to do it online and trying through facebook chat i finally called the 1866 431 9749 number

got through first ring to a woman who then got me to support directly, I ended up buying out the remaining balance on our 2 devices for approx $450 and got both numbers on seperate $60 plans, so saving approx $70 a month now, but device buyout will be paid off in like 6 months

and now i'll just be buying phones outright, no more BS with rogers.

My buddy also phoned that 1866 number and got through directly after about the 10th attempt, good tip on the last page whoever mentioned the 1866 number thanks!

If you are not on a contract go to best buy set up a new account with Telus and then port your old number over. I just got the sim cards from best buy and ported the number myself.

Gh0stRider 12-18-2017 10:39 AM

Instead of waiting for rep, why not just port over to a new provider?

Acura604 12-18-2017 11:14 AM

THERE'S got to be a RS'er who can help out fellow RSers...come on,, one of u must work at the big 3 or whatever and can assist ??? i mean i got mine done but it must be nuts for some of you on eternal hold.

JDMDreams 12-18-2017 11:17 AM

^^ I asked my friends cousin who works for bell, she said she can't do it for me either, change plans, unless I upgrade to $85. But not sure how true is it as the technical support rep that helped me in the phone said they should be able to do it in store as they should have the same authority

RESN 12-18-2017 11:25 AM

Ported from Fido to Koodo at a kiosk and took me 10 min from start to finish.. i would suggest doing that rather than wasting your time on the phone for the same deal at your current company

New line activations has a $25 line activation fee n some stores will charge for the SIM card as well.

vash13 12-18-2017 11:32 AM

Koodo charged me 15 for the sim card. Activation fee was waived.

Acura604 12-18-2017 11:38 AM

ROGERS waived activation fees/sim card costs for both of my 2 new lines. crazy times we living in...

Mr.HappySilp 12-18-2017 12:02 PM

68style 12-18-2017 12:02 PM

FerrariEnzo 12-18-2017 12:21 PM

Not sure why people think its a good deal.. its still $60 plus taxes.. lol

JDMDreams 12-18-2017 12:28 PM

This is the best deal since the $60/6GB plan back when the blackberry Bold and a iPhone 3 came out.

Public WiFi in General is pretty shitty and most block apps like Instagram etc. with 10GB you could use your data heavily every day and it’s unlikely you’ll ever go over, never have to worry about connecting to public WiFi.

Also the fact that there is no contract commitment, personally I’m going to come out way ahead next harware upgrade when I buy my phone outright

fsy82 12-18-2017 01:21 PM

I have a 2gb plan and i barely get over 1 gig..lol. I have shaw go wifi in most areas.
