I'm 1:45 on hold. Still haven't gotten through. Went to the bell store at Aberdeen and the girl said existing customers can't go for the 60 plan. Only 85. She said she tried to do it for herself and she couldn't even change it. Not sure if she's bsing though. |

^^ any one can confirm this? If I'm going from bell service which carrier has the best service? The phone line just hung up on me |
Yeah, I was going to try tomorrow at a corporate store but it sounds like that is going to be a waste of my time. I've been holding onto my 6GB/$60 for the last 6 years. An extra 4GB would be nice, but I haven't gone past 2GB the last two months. Three hours to get something i will never use seems pointless; jumping to another company is pointless because in my experience, Bell has provided coverage for me where Rogers/Telus was unavailable. |
I'm thinking of going to koodo? Cuz don't they use bell network? |

I called in, waited, transferred me to a CSR, asked for a callback cuz I didnt want to wait. Got a call back in 45 mins and eveyrthing was done in 5 mins after |
Been waiting with rogers slightly over 2.5hrs now. Getting rid of my Rogers corporate plan for this. If they won't do it with existing customers, somebody gonna hurt real bad!!! |
Waited for 2 hours on the fido live chat for my mom and didn't get through. I guess I'll have to wake up at around 5am to be the first couple people online |

Didn't even need to wait long lol. Unless they changed/ stopped the promo. |
You are better off walking into any other provider store than your own customer service line and switch. Much faster and they all have the same plan. |
Finally done. It took almost 4 hours in total on Live Chat |
FWIW, I just went to myRogers online and switched my existing service over to their $60 plan. No wait at all! :) |
Hope this link helps: http://www.iphoneincanada.ca/category/carriers/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I know that Rogers & Fido has made the plan open to new and existing customers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Did you get a chance to call or live chat with them? |

I'm a existing Bell customer and I switched to 10gb with no problem. You can't do this in the store. just dial *611 and you get straight into the client service line. Still i have to wait like half an hour after that is like 10mins top. |
I've been on Rogers since 2006 and switched to this $60/10gb plan no problem yesterday. I was previously on a $65/6gb plan for 5 years. My gf is on Fido and the guy at Fido said it wasn't doable in store so she switched over to Rogers as well. |
The other option you guys should do is going to your local Walmart or Superstore and signing up at The Mobile Shop. Significantly less traffic at those cell phone areas within Walmart and Superstore compared to the official stores in the mall |
screw calling in or waiting for live chat, this takes like 5 mins To help alleviate pressure on phone and retail employees, Fido announced earlier tonight customers can now jump on the $60/10GB plan by switching to it themselves via My Account on Fido.ca. “Make sure to get in on our Holideals while they’re hot! Skip the wait times and stay one step ahead with our self-serve options. Select our $60 5GB BYOP Pulse plan, and a 5GB bonus will be automatically added!”, reads the tweet from @FidoSolutions. |
Ughs can't believe I actually woke up for this, on hold with bell again |
For those waiting on hold you can simultaneously also try Facebook messenger and text message. I almost had it done via these channels but timing was off and ended up doing it over live chat instead. *EDIT* this is for Rogers, not sure if other companies have FB and text |
Alright gais I finally got this done, change plans on bell, do not waste your time calling *611 and select help about plan change. I called the 1866 number General line, click into technical support and get them to call you back, I called in at about 7:30 and I got a call back within their hour quoted call back time, they changed 3 lines for me in about 25 mins while I was still on the phone on hold with 611 for over an hour. Good luck everyone and thanks for your help |
Ps chat for bell actually got back to me while I was on the phone, I guess about 45 minutes later after I started the online chat but I was already talking with technical support and I wasn't staring at the computer the whole time, I actually didn't even hear a notification and my sound was on, I guess you could try that for bell. |
