Justification, celebration, or encouragement of violence towards ideologic opponents also falls far outside the code of conduct of every university in North America.

Universities are entrusted not just with the education our youth, but with the way in which they think, debate, and most importantly disagree.

Universities cannot treat incitement to violence as a legitimate exercise of free speech or as protected academic freedom and continue to hold the trust of the public in their core mission of shaping the minds of our youth.

There's a lot of chatter on social that the shooter was a Groyper (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groypers) which is some further far right (apparently it's "alt-right" now) group led by Nick Fuentes. This group apparently hates Charlie Kirk for being a phony and not being far right enough.

If true, then Kirk's killing was basically a result of a gang war (White on White gang violence baby!). Ironic that Kirk's last words were his racist dog whistle of "Counting or not counting gang violence?"

Edit: Apparently the shooters mom posted him dressed up as a "meme" (Groyper) back in 2018 so there's some meat on the bone here.
Edit: The phrases on the shell casings are apparently also catch phrases of the Groyper group.
