ive had ostrich it's actually good when prepped well, but the egg grosses me out. |
Ostrich tastes like beef. I had it as a substitute for beef in a Chinese broccoli/kai lan dish. If they hadn't told me it was ostrich I wouldn't have noticed the diff. |
my wife rode one, i tried to ride it but got banned for being too fat.... fuck you bird! ate the one she rode afterwards as revenge. |

High risk sex offender who in 2022 went missing from his halfway house https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/briti...sing-1.6564065 Just tried to rape a adult woman who ultimately got away, he then went into a public bathroom and sexually assaulted and held a 16 year old girl by knife point https://vpd.ca/news/2025/05/30/stran...blic-bathroom/ :lol What else is there to say anymore. This is what ya voted for The deterrent for rape is a 2 year prison sentence followed by probation, why wouldn’t you commit heinous crimes? |
Which political party would have put and end to this? :Popcorn |
Conservatives were literally going to table legislation to overhaul bail reform and criminal justice.. that was a top point of their platform?.. |
communists |
We’ve lived through decades of mental illness and criminality sky rocketing with zero repercussions. Now we get stuff like the Lububu tragedy etc. and it’s still not enough to enact reform lol.. best wishes and hugs ** What has to happen for there to be actual reform? A bomb exploding? If we actually punished people for the worst crimes, they wouldn’t happen. Gun violence, sex crimes, if you commit these crimes, you’re going to prison, end of story. Surprise surprise, when then are ZERO consequences to your actions, they happen frequently, and repeatedly by the same perpetrators. I swear if I had more money and didn’t want to leave the country anymore, I’d just have a incognito camera man follow me around and break into houses, do random crime and intentionally get arrested, just to get bailed out instantly and turn it into a whole channel to underline how insane our system is. |
CCP, Communist party of Canada. Throw the natives back to Yukon, everyone who does crimes to prison. Build pipelines without everyone bickering ??? Profit |
I’m not saying I like the way our system is currently working… but to say crimes don’t happen anymore because you punish them is extremely unrealistic. They don’t happen from that particular person who’s now in jail forever, but they will still happen. The root cause isn’t addressed, you’re just making sure there’s no second chance for it to happen from X Y or Z person. |
So gun crime, we’ve surpassed a billion dollars in the insane “gun buy back” program which has, to date, bought 0 guns back. That program has also spent extensive time banning things like anti-tank rifles, bazookas, etc. 99% of gun crime is committed by people who are in unlawful possession of a firearm. How about instead of that billion dollars toward nothing, spend that on I dunno.. education, mental health supports, institutions? There is not a single legal gun owner in this country who would have the SMALLEST issue with people who have illegal firearms being punished to the full extent of the law. If you’re riding the skytrain with a loaded handgun and you’re caught? You’re going to jail for 5 years, period. There is no appeal, there is no option. You are carrying an illegal firearm for the purpose of injuring or killing others, you’re going away. You don’t think that would have people take a second thought about it? And what would be the downside? Is that infringing on someone’s rights? Canadas system punishes the victim, full stop. If you think otherwise you’re a fool. |

Labubu is that stupid monster doll thing that the kids are going nuts over as the latest fad. |
Yea.. it felt wrong |
I half agree with you Honda. I agree punishments for crime, especially violent crime needs to be WAY more heavy handed. I don't care if someone had a tough upbringing if they are kidnapping kids, stabbing people at random, etc. The punishment should be the same across the board, and severe regardless of the perps background. What I don't agree with is that every time a crime happens you go straight to that issue to say "this is because of soft on crime government" The death penalty and 3 strikes laws still exist in the US and they sure as shit aren't working as crime prevention. |
The reason ( as it has been explained to me ) there can’t be mandatory minimums is that it takes discretionary power away from a judge. Doesn’t take a lot of imagination to think of a situation where the exact two crimes might have some mitigating circumstances when it comes to sentencing. The crime ( most of it that is mental health or drug related ) is a Symptom. If we could solve that issue by getting upstream of it we eliminate so much of the issues that plague us. But the problem is it doesn’t help those/ de criminalize the behaviour of those that are currently out there causing all the issues. To some extent the die is already cast for them ( not totally obviously). so it’s way better to intervene when they are kids in a shitty home where the adults are substance abusers ( or even just abusers) by or poor or whatever other issues are prevalent then it is to intervene when you see them in a meth fueled rage downtown. My wife is a school counsellor and has works in a bunch of different schools. She sees kids all the time that have a shit situation at home , have no agency and have no chance at meaningful change.these kids ( for the most part) will grow up to have the issues that we see playing out all the time. Btw for those looking to figure out what schools are best for there kids ( elementary wise ) you want to aim at catchments with the least amount of rentals . I suppose to be more specific low income rentals . The amount of severe issues at these schools tends to be much higher and due to the inclusivity we now practice these kids who are nightmares can hold a class hostage( and effect everyone else on the class , give the teachers burnout etc). |
