So you mean this, but we too poor since we like our oil in the ground and trees on fire instead of selling them. https://petapixel.com/assets/uploads...nstruction.jpg |
Imagine what Canada could become if the chains were removed from industry... |
^Ok there Ayn Rand...Maybe we should import more Chinese coolies, they've got a storied history of building long things stretching the breadth of Canada. |

So the loudest weak conservatives are the first to fold, just like Taco. The Alberta government has lifted its ban on American liquor imports https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calga...anytime%20soon. |
The G7 Summit starts this Sunday. Canada hosts the summit in Kananskis, Alberta. June 15th to 17th https://calgaryherald.com/news/live-...ananaskis-2025 Even before the meetings get underway, diplomatic manoeuvres have already started, with host Canada trying to turn the temperature down and avoid a tiff with U.S. President Donald Trump. Cheeto will be attending the G7 Summit. In addition to trade, the leaders of the group of wealthy economies — the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Japan and Canada — are set to discuss artificial intelligence, energy security, wildfires and global conflicts, including in Ukraine and the Middle East. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will join the summit, along with the leaders of India, Brazil, Mexico and others. -from the article: After world leaders arrive in Kananaskis, matters on the agenda will be divided into three major areas of discussion: Peace and security, foreign interference and transnational crime, and wildfire response; Critical mineral supply chains and economic growth through artificial intelligence and quantum computing; Private investment for stronger infrastructure, creation of good-paying jobs, and business success through dynamic markets. Article content Other topics up for discussion include the war in Ukraine and the creation of reliable global coalitions. Stay away from G7 summit zone, RCMP warns As expected, the world's biggest security zone is in Kananaskis: https://calgaryherald.com/news/g7-ka...berta-sheriffs Prisoners for a week': Kananaskis G7 zone turned into armed camp To that end, nearly every parking lot, trailhead and campground in the Kananaskis exclusion zone is filled with Canadian troops or other security personnel. Olive green military trucks that are seemingly everywhere and their accompanying army tents blend well with the evergreen forest. Military personnel on ATVs. :gun: Helmeted soldiers bombed down a Highway 40 ditch on army green quads on their way to the Galatea parking lot where more of their comrades had mustered./B] At almost the same time, a dozen bicycle-mounted police and conservation officers flashed past on a paved trail. Alberta conservation officers’ vehicles now command the Troll Falls trail head parking lot, which has been closed to the public. Closer to Kananaskis Village, a light barricade has been thrown across the road to the Nakiska ski area, which is being used as a staging zone for security forces. On Thursday, the village itself was in the process of being zipped up in a security perimeter of black fabric-clad metal fencing that extends down the bluff to the Kananaskis River below. Surveillance cameras mounted on metal poles now line forest pathways near the hotel. |
Did anyone notice a complete lack of protests when the King was in Ottawa? If there are massive protests, it is because the Canadian government let it happen. |
Quote:
https://www.nationalobserver.com/202...trump-policies I guarantee you that the RCMP and our Canadian Armed Forces will shut down any violent protests which can threaten the lives of political leaders at the G7. -protesters holding signs, singing songs, yelling slogans from a megaphone. That's the Canadian way of protesting. LUL You really think that Canada as the host country will let protests get out of hand with violence? |
Personally, I'd also expect protests targetting Modi being invited. About the King doing the throne speech in Ottawa, why would any sensible (Canadian) person want to protest about that? Even though there are people against the monarchy, we all know he was here to delivery the throne speech as his way (and the federal gov's way) to symbolically reinforces Canada's sovereignty against Trump's 51st state rhetoric. Only idiots would protest against that. |
Jason since you don't have any commitments rn why don't you head down to Kananaskis and protest whatever your heart desires? Vaccines, The Monarchy -- hell go up to Trump and give him a big fat kiss on his lips and tell him how much you love what he's doing with his place? |

Actually, I just made a job for myself using an app I wrote vibe coding with Cursor, and now I make AI-assisted advertisements for an international web marketing agency. Will it be long term? I have no idea, but the AI is starting to help me rebuild my life, so I'm going to keep at it. Now if I am going to afford to take my kid and baby momma on some nice RV road trips this summer, I have to further automate my advertisement-building software. No time to protest jack shit, as if anyone is listening, anyways. |

But in all seriousness if true i'm glad you're making income perhaps you can touch grass more often with your kid and start to wean yourself off from unhealthy internet discourse. |

Buddy... I have to raise my profile high enough somehow to get someone capable to shill the system on my behalf so some organization can take my smart ratchet idea from drawing board to finished product: https://i.ibb.co/fz3VZvS2/748902d7-7...79b10dc67c.png How am I going to do that if I'm a reasonable, calm person? |

Tell us more...:suspicious: |
Imagine a ratchet that: 1. Knew where all of your sockets were 2. Knew what order you removed parts in and could voice guide you 3. Kept track of time and asked you to flash the lens at the odometer so the smart rachet could keep track of all of your needed maintenance 4. Working in conjunction with your smart phone on a tripod, it could record the entire process of you working on your vehicle and could even remind you of misplaced parts or a nut you dropped that you may have missed. The cameras would catch those and be able to tell you. Now imagine you had a car passed down to you from your father, a 1969 Camaro, but he passed away before you were old enough to remember, and then when you turn 16 and the car is gifted to you, you also get your dad's smart ratchet where he can talk to you in his real voice and tell you how to maintain the vehicle and even go for ride-alongs where the smart ratchet, using AI, is able to diagnose issues by the sound alone. The ratchet could work with a smartphone and guide someone with no skill in auto repair and walk them through everything step by step, maybe even using the AI to make videos to show them how to position their hands and body to access certain bolts, etc. I could write so many ways a smart ratchet could be so fucking useful in life... how come it doesn't exist yet? Why can't I be the guy that invents the very early smart ratchet so I can ALWAYS fucking find my 10mm? |
:lol |

Imagine the millions of man hours lost in time to people losing just their 10mm alone... |
If this is a bit, I underestimated you |

I do know for a fact that the govt are sending back TFWs in large numbers. Work permit renewals are being rejected in every direction unless the worker has used every opportunity / resources within their pathway to upgrade their skills / education / through training & certification and also applying for PR when they can. That said, it's all been regulated to a lottery system now, for whoever is qualified to move forward with their application. Your name is a ball in a bin and they draw randomly that way. It's the only way they can call it a fair system while holding to their platform that they are reducing immigration. Source: My gf's friends who have all been rejected while a select few are currently in the lottery. All work permit renewals rejected (even for those in the PR process). |
