Tyler Myers on pace for a 82 goal season :troll:

Acurapinoy 10-02-2019 08:17 PM

Hughes makes the game look so easy. Glad we have him

TjAlmeida 10-02-2019 08:24 PM

What the fuck was that by mike smith, lunging and grabbing onto pearson’s Legs then throws his stick? How is that not a penalty, interference/holding?

Tanev was way out of position on McDavid’s goal.

C’mon Canucks! Quick response!

His hockey IQ is just phenomenal. Nothing flashy, just moves his feet and the puck.

Sucks they didn't get the W but not a bad start overall. Timing just seems off but it's only game 1. 81 to go!

Which led to a goal really...definitely was a holding-the-stick penalty.

So if no one was aware, Canucks were tied with Tampa for most consecutive opening night wins (5 years in a row). I for one, am glad we broke that streak tonight because it hasn't done shit for us.

Hughes looks fantastic.

EP had his moments and Brock had a chance or two but other than that most of the acquisitions were invisible. Didn’t notice Miller at all

Really, I thought Miller and Pearson were quite noticeable, Miller was digging pucks out along the boards and he set up the play that led to the Myers shot/Pearson tip-in. He won some faceoffs too at important times.

Pearson had like 10 shots on net, crazy!

Sutter was a complete slug out there, made that blatantly obvious giveaway pass (the guy was standing RIGHT THERE and he just puts it to him trying to bank it off the boards to someone for no reason) to Benning which led to McDavid's go-ahead goal... nevermind he's a surefire way to kill a zone entry... both him and Virtanen it's like they cross the blue line and then think "Oh... I hadn't actually planned to get this far... hmm" and then dump it into the corner. Bizarre.

fsy82 10-03-2019 09:33 AM

I didnt even notice Virtanen out there all night. Why wasnt he sent down?? That boggles my mind. The new additions were noticeable. They had control down low a lot tonight. I love the grit we have now

Hondaracer 10-03-2019 09:42 AM

Pearson was in on a lot of action but I didn’t see Miller get involved much. But I guess miller is probably the person setting Pearson up

cdizzle_996 10-03-2019 11:58 AM

Hughes broke Larsson’s foot last night..

Cuz 100% Virtanen would have been claimed off waivers... and then you lose a first pick for nothing.

He doesn't deserve to be here right now, but given his status it's risk management.

Wow ... what a night in New Jersey! Devils up 4-0 deep into 2nd period ... then

XplicitLuder 10-05-2019 03:20 PM

Loui scratched for tonight. Bless be thy hockey lords

MG1 10-05-2019 06:42 PM

Anthem singer was average, at best, but what the hell was that accompaniment all about? Lavalle must be squirming in his grave right now.............

pastarocket 10-05-2019 07:50 PM

Giordano pushes Myers from behind while Tyler is near the boards. Piece of shit with the cheapshot!

spoon.ek9 10-05-2019 07:55 PM

Canucks better towards end of second but still struggling. Hope this improves in the 3rd...

Fuck Hughes is crazy

spoon.ek9 10-05-2019 08:48 PM

Another L but I think this is good for them. Need to realize other teams have improved too.
