so the bridge deal is structured to set him up for something north of 7.5mil on next on contract. i think it's a good signing. the cap hit is a steal, really.

Trade return would be terrible for Jake. He just turned 23, I think he still has room to improve. 20 goals this year is a possibility.

oof that last rule with the faceoff should be interesting...wonder if teams will put more emphasis on taking faceoffs on their "stronger" side

^ of course they will. If their best faceoff guy is a lefty they’ll be on the right hand side to win it on the backhand to the dman in the middle and vice versa.

Ellior Freidman says he has never ever seen anything like that happen as penalty video reviews are unauthorized.

Was just in Winnipeg (ugh) for work and talking to some locals from my company... all Jets fans... and while they have their miseries on their own team this year they unanimously thanked me for taking Myers off their hands... told me to prepare for all the underwhelming play for years to come lol

I sort of wish the Canucks didn't sign Myers and waited for Tyson Barrie next summer. No secret he would love to play for the Canucks. Won't be able to afford both of them... even if Tanev doesn't get re-signed
