NTC is irrelevant to the expansion draft. It’s the NMC that requires protection.

Edler is apparenlty back for 3 years now at $5.5 per.

3rd year he will not be protected for the expansion draft.

Canucks players also miss out on awards due to bad luck or at the last minute (e.g. Boeser falling out of Calder contention because of injury, and Naslund losing Art Ross to Forsberg).
