Canucks so good

AzNightmare 12-11-2019 12:23 AM

geez... 0-3 on 3 clean breakaways.

spoon.ek9 12-12-2019 01:15 PM

Demko out with a concussion. Collision with Eriksson on Tuesday and took a shot to the head yesterday during practice.

bobbinka 12-12-2019 02:00 PM

God damn it, Eriksson.

MG1 12-12-2019 06:32 PM

I guess Carolina goalie is okay? Someone needs to punch him........... anywhere and watch him go down like a soccer player.

pastarocket 12-12-2019 08:43 PM

Petey with the sweet backhand to win it in OT! :fuckyea:

spoon.ek9 12-12-2019 08:44 PM

gimoungous thank you to Marky tonight lol. stood on his damn head to give us a chance to win.

Hondaracer 12-12-2019 08:54 PM

Needed that win, would have been pretty demoralizing to lose again against another hot goalie

Marky’s performance was his best ever so far in his career. [emoji817]

Yea that was a pretty damn impressive performance in hindsight

Ian mccintire said it may be one of the best in Canucks history. Considering the chances and the saves hard to disagree. Marky is so calm in net im rarely on edge like you were all the time with Lu etc. Lol

Kirk McLean's 51 (?) saves in Game 1 of the SCF against the Rangers in 94 always comes to my mind... there's a YouTube video compilation of that online somewhere and given the playing style and tiny equipment then it was pretty impressive.

There's been some impressive backup performances... remember how many times Backup Bob Essensa had his name chanted in his brief time with us? lol....

Definitely a boss game i still remember watching the cup finals as a 12 year old like it was yesterday.

MG1 12-13-2019 04:46 PM

All I can say to that is, FUCK MESSIER!!!!!!!!!

The hockey gods fucked that one up, big time. I know good guys finish last, but asswipes, like messier, deserves a railroad spike up the ass.

Dirty player with no conscience. Win at all costs. BASTARD. I don't care what others say, he's one giant dickface.

Kessel has been terrible this year. It’s mainly goaltending for Arizona.

DavidNguyen 12-14-2019 11:40 AM

Darcy Kemper has been sharp! I want arizona in the play pffs.

bobbinka 12-14-2019 04:43 PM

Saw this on reddit, lol. Brock and Petey leaving the arena:

I don't know why canucks have to be the streak busters in the worst way. Need your first shutout? play the canucks. Need your first NHL goal? play the canucks.

Blah_Teggie 12-14-2019 09:15 PM

Anyone catch Brian Burke's Top Players on Canadian Teams Under 25 list? For those that didn't, this was how he ranked them:

1) Connor McDavid (obvious choice)
2) Leon Draisaitl (no surprise)
3) Auston Matthews
4) Quinn Hughes! Didn't think he'd go this high and youngest player on the list
5) Elias Pettersson
6) Mitch Marner
7) Patrik Laine
8) Mathew Tkachuk
9) Thomas Chabot
10) Kyle Connor
11) Brock Boeser
12) Brady Tkachuk

LOL, no player from the Habs. I think he has Laine too high. He's too one dimensional.

Jmac 12-14-2019 09:39 PM

Horvat continues to be criminally underrated ...

Ch28 12-14-2019 11:15 PM

Horvat is not better than any other player on that list.

AzNightmare 12-14-2019 11:26 PM

Canucks' offense have dried up... Seems like every goalie they play against is an all star now.

Horvat is better than Boeser on the same team, man.

Canucks place F Baertschi on waivers
https://www.tsn.ca/vancouver-canucks...vers-1.1413554

spoon.ek9 12-15-2019 04:06 PM

that's after he had his agent say they're publicly demanding a trade. and thaaat is after Benning revealed they've been working on moving him for the last 10 weeks already and therefore he doesn't understand why Baertschi would make things public at this point.
