^i might make myself look like a complete idiot here but from my understanding. Since Ferland has been on LTIR(assuming he will stay there for the rest of the season) 68 out of the 82 games. Thats 83% of the season. 83% of 3.5Mil = 2.9Mil. Leivo 47 out of the 82 games. 57% of 1.5Mil = 840k. Motte somewhere around 600K

2.9mil+840k+600k = 4.34Mil in LTIR savings minus all the call ups weve made to replace theses guys Baertschi, Bailey, MacEwen ect. over that course. I can see where that 3.5M Cap space came about. Theres an exact science to this and other rules ect that i probably missed or not aware of but i like my dumbed down version better since its easier for me to understand.
