Solid top 6 though. It is what it is. - Todd Bertuzzi |
Hughes reaches 50 points. Who was the last dman to reach 50 points in a season for us? Ehrhoff? |

Now that's how a national anthem should be sung................... straight forward. None of this, nasal, pop singer, head voice splattered with useless embellishments that'll make even Mariah Carey blush. The reverb was a little overkill, but chick did a really good job. I hate our national anthem being butchered by "look at me, look at me," types. Anyway, carry on carrying on. |
bad start again. |

Miller with another PP Goal. C'mon Canucks; don't know why they always have a thing about losing to teams below them in standings. |
JT for PM! |
man, demko is brutal today |
WTF? Losing to a team like that............ Canucks so good. |
gameover |
Damn that was an embarrassing minute of play... |
shit game but Hughes now owns two franchise records! (most PP points and assists in a rookie season) |
Demko seriously needs to step his game up. Or else we will know exactly who to keep come expansion draft. |
Nobody is a proven commodity except for Markstrom |

Leafs are very much a Jekyll and Hyde kinda team. Hopefully it works out well for us tonight. |

I still believe in Demko. The guy is still young and needs more experience. Look at how long it took Markstrom to get there. We can't all expect a goalie like Binnington to drop out of the sky! |
Demko is still young, but I’m sure a lot of people are thinking that maybe the repeat concussions with Demko has had an affect on his game. Markstrom was a very late bloomer, I don’t think he was considered a top starting goalie till he was I think 28 years old. |
Most of us thought we got fleeced when we traded for Marky lol. He definitely took a lot of time to develop into what he is today. On another note, did anyone else notice Toffoli looks like Dustin from Stranger Things? :lol Spoiler! |

Markstrom was a top goaltending prospect when he was drafted and continued to be so until he came to North America. Unfortunately, Florida lacked the development resources that most teams have (e.g. dedicated goaltending coach in the NHL, dedicated goaltending coach or goaltending consultant for their AHL affiliate, etc.), so Markstrom's stock fell considerably as he fell behind the development curve. He's definitely a reclamation project that has turned out, although it took longer than I expected (I recall saying he'd be a bonafide #1 by the time Miller's contract was up and he wasn't, obviously). |
