Another elite Swede in the making

Although we won, I thought the Canucks played terrible. At least Markstrom stole a game for us.

mb_ 02-12-2020 09:44 PM

Holy fuck what a game by Marky once again! Got outplayed and outshot pretty bad, we're lucky to win that game on Sedin night

Nazzy's shoulder hiding that C on Lu's jersey?
HAHA

If Marky plays like this.. we gonna see another Lu/Schneider thing..

The Canucks can't seem to ever get away from this problem...and what a problem to have haha

Goalies couldn't actually wear the C on their jersey, he always had it on his mask instead...

Glad they didn't fake it by adding a C to his jersey anyway, but love that he's recognized for it.

I was at the game last night fellas and let me tell you, that was fan-friggin-tastic. SO many good things happened. I don't even know where to begin. Maybe I'll just do point form to make it simple

- Bieksa was friggin hilarious, had the whole arena laughing
- The fans gave Kesler one hell of a welcome back and proved that they either forgave him or that the never hated him at all (I'm in the latter category)
- The ovations for Linden and Naslund were goosebump inducing. In particular, it was great to see us put a smile on Linden's face again considering him putting differences aside to be there for the twins. The love for this guy will never end in this city.
- LUUUUUUUUUU. No need to add more I think.
- Appreciation for all the rest of our greats was fantastic as well.
- Seeing the twins' jerseys being raised to the rafters is something I'll remember forever. The memories they occupy in our collective minds are just incredible.

I'm sure there's more I missed about this night but I'll edit if anything comes to mind.

Yes, the new skate jersey is $298+tax. But guess what, they look damn amazing and yes, I bought one! Couldn't resist. Got me a Petey jersey, I believe in this kid just the same as how I believed in Bo when I bought his jersey in 14-15.

I watched it on TV. And the ovation for Linden, man that was epic. Also love ppl booing Gary Bettman. lol

keifun 02-14-2020 04:11 AM

Can't think of a place where they cheered for Bettman.

68style 02-14-2020 07:09 AM

^
They'll cheer the day he announces he's stepping down

spoon.ek9 02-14-2020 07:37 AM

it was expected that he would be booed as usual but myself and others thought it was unnecessary to do so at a retirement ceremony and a bit classless. oh well...

sonick 02-14-2020 05:06 PM

Ferland out of Utica game tonight with concussion like symptoms. Probably unlikely he'll ever make it back unfortunately.

bobbinka 02-14-2020 05:11 PM

yiikes

Razor Ramon HG 02-14-2020 05:29 PM

Looks like Jay Bouwmeester's career is over, but he has had a good run. Triple Gold Club.

You are aware that fans boo him as a joke now, right?

He’s accepted that and has just as much fun with it as always (drafts especially)

TjAlmeida 02-14-2020 06:36 PM

Oh lord, what is Benning going to offer New Jersey for Simmonds now that ferland is an unlikely return.
