Always tough when Toronto plays the 'Nucks. I've been cheering for the Leafs since the early 60's. Dave Keon, Tim Horton, Johnny Bower, Frank Mahovlich, George "Chief" Armstrong, Red Kelly, and Eddie Shack, lol...........

Eddie Shack was the original "Entertainer." Lanny McDonald, Tiger Williams, etc. all entertainers, but Shack was plain nuts.

Markstrom leads the league in games stolen according to the advanced goalie stats with 8. For those unfamiliar with the stat, it basically compares the goaltender to what would've theoretically happened if the team received "average" goaltending instead.

Imagine where this team would be with 8 fewer wins (say 0-2-6 instead of 8-0-0 in those 8 games) and the opposition with 8 more wins (3 games vs East, 3 vs Pacific, 2 vs Central).

We'll say the top teams in each won the games and half of them turned OT/SO wins into OT/SO losses. 0-1-2 vs Pacific and 0-0-2 vs Central.

Canucks drop to 64 points from current 74.

Vegas jumps to 82 points from 80.
Edmonton jumps to 75 points from 74.
Calgary jumps to 74 points from 73.
St. Louis jumps to 87 points from 86.
Colorado jumps to 86 points from 85.

Canucks go from 3rd in the Pacific with a 2-point cushion to make the playoffs down to 25th in the league and 10 points out of a playoff spot.

It wasn't even a goaltending issue today I'd say. If anything, Domingue was more solid and confident than Demko has been the last few games. The team is just playing like shit as soon as they hit some adversity.

Could someone run the analytics on Canucks win % without Markstrom this season, project that for the time he is expected to be out, and then add projected number of win when he returns for the rest of the season? What is point total and is it good enough to be in? Thanks.

My intuition says, it will be a nail biter.
