Which God of War is this? For the PS5?

There are no PS5 games yet... They no longer "believe in generations" so it's PS4 LUL

With enhancements of course.. And of course it makes sense that they can't keep up with demand, so to be able to move units they support the last generation. Interestingly PS5 and XBOX Series X/S are outselling the last gen by a lot, even with supply issues.

Haha so the 2018 one, PS4 greatest hits?

MarkyMark 01-21-2022 05:22 PM

Yeah 2018 was the most recent one, dirt cheap no reason not to try it (free if you have PS+)

The 2022 sequel Ragnarok is also a PS4 game

The 2018 one is on PC and I hear it's really good. Will definitely check it out once it goes on sale. Right now I am checking out Hitman 3 which just came to Game Pass

Thinking about trading my barely used PS5 for an Xbox X.

Would that be a silly move?

Mr.Money 01-23-2022 12:02 PM

if you don't give a shit about the upcoming release titles in 2022. why not?

it really depends on what you want to play... i notice a ton of people keeping their ps5 & buying a series X though.

to me Series X hasn't announced any system exclusives to gain any hype from my gaming PC.

ps5 on the other hand there is a few of titles i love like racing sims & adventure driven games only for playstation.

that's one huge reason why i bought mine last week and feel like i lucked out with people spending saved holiday money making them harder to find brand new.

Keep Both?

nabs 01-24-2022 03:07 PM

I'm super stoked for Gran Turismo 7. I just bought a used G29 for cheap, and playing GT Sport with it, I am surprisingly so much better with the wheel than I ever was with the controller.

mikemhg 01-24-2022 05:07 PM

Problem is I don't want both, I barely use my PS5. I've found this generation terrible, I'm not into any of the games released thus far, and the exclusives coming up outside of Gran Turismo don't seem very interesting (Horizon Zero Dawn, blah).

I'm an RPG guy primarily, with Microsoft purchasing Bethesda, I'm thinking all the good RPGs will end up on XBOX only.

Meh, it's still early to tell I suppose.

Welp, farcry 6 was a disappointment.....
The game overall could have been a hit, but they butchered it like cyberpunk 2077, so many glitches and errors make it unplayable every x hours. Still worth the 80$ but....

Rachet and clank, fun game, stopped about 30% in, seems repedative, but that's just me turning old and senile.

Waiting for saint row now, hopefully it's not in an alien world like one of the last ones

Watched a few YouTube videos on best PS5 games for 2021 and 2022, nothing else really catches my eye

It sounds like Game Pass will eventually just be an app you can use to stream games or even a streaming stick you can plug in your HDMI port and then you'd just need a controller, no XBox required. If they go that route I'd probably get Game Pass a few months at a time, play the exclusives and then cancel it till another good game comes out.

That's only really appropriate for slower paced games though, IMO. RPGs and stuff would be fine, but you don't want to play action games or driving games that way. (IMO)

GLOW 01-25-2022 09:22 AM

basically that's stadia right? i actually have one but played destiny and borderlands 3 for a few hours and seemed fine.

haven't played it since as there are no titles on there that catch my eye.
maybe the new rainbow6...

huge difference. i did that on ps3 and my lord... gold ranking and beating timed missions 1st place my first race..

after multi-able failed attempts on controller sticks..

that force feed-back shaking the wheel sure is cheating letting you know you're losing grip & speed on the tight corners...huge game changer IMO.

and it inspires confidence too.. i don't have finger memory knowing how much to turn the wheel "in game" killing my speed.

but judging how much i turn and the feel of wheel shake if its too sharp is simple.

for me this racing seat is the dream.. i might.

Welp, Sony buys Bungie for 3.6 billion but maintains that they aren't going to make the games PlayStation exclusive.

I picked up FC6 for 30 bucks on Amazon Warehouse Deals, it was worth the 30, and it is my first time playing a Far Cry game, seems good so far.

GLOW 01-31-2022 04:05 PM

anyone know if shoppers sell xbox series x and how regularly they're stocked?

seems like series x has been out of stock on amazon.ca, anyone know how often it comes back in to stock?

"non exclusive" doesn't necessarily mean XBOX

God of War is a multiplatform game, but will never be on XBOX

I'd say there's a 99% chance that all future games are totally exclusive to Sony platforms, and only the games currently in development will have a chance to be on XBOX

MarkyMark 01-31-2022 06:48 PM

Sony says to expect more acquisitions, and I'm sure Microsoft is already talking to more as well... Can't say that I love this trend of just buying huge studios to take their popular games and make them exclusives.

SkinnyPupp 01-31-2022 06:54 PM

After Activision, it's clear that any publisher can be bought, even EA.

And yeah, consolidation sucks, but personally I like the way Microsoft is running their games program more than pretty much everyone. They seem to care about putting out good products, which means good games for us. And the Game Pass platform means not every game has to be a huge blockbuster, meaning a lot more small games with good financial backing.

The person who said Microsoft will ruin it like they did with Skype is so out to lunch

Hondaracer 02-01-2022 08:18 AM

Gonna turn into 2 gigantic studios making all the games with Nintendo propped up by indie platformer developers lol

MarkyMark 02-01-2022 08:56 AM

Eventually someone's gotta pay for all these billion dollar acquisitions, PS5 games are already $90 a pop when new, and I'm sure XBox is salivating at the idea of Game Pass getting popular enough where people can't live without it and start upping the monthly price.

Just like Netflix. I remember when it used to be cheap. Want 4k content, you have to buy the Premium account even if you're a single user.

I did the trick from RedFlagDeals where I subscribed to 3 years of Xbox Live and converted it to Game Pass Ultimate for $1.

I game share with my friend so we just split the cost, so it's like $5 a month right now.

He loves Pizza Pops, so he buys a bunch when they're on sale with the two week Xbox Game Pass code promo.
