Wal mart, T and T and superstore seems to be pretty quiet on weekdays after work. So I don't think you need to worry. But then I live in Coq center and usually there are less people around.

MG1 03-13-2020 10:03 AM

Holy shit. I’m at the Superstore in Coquitlam. There’s no parking spots left. Overflow parking lot is overflowing. I had to fight off assholes in their ICE vehicles so I could charge. Never seen it this busy. This location does have good stock on things that are sold out at other locations.

SoNaRWaVe 03-13-2020 10:23 AM

pc express and pick up to avoid all that line. but produce is 50/50 depending on who puts your order together.

RiceIntegraRS 03-13-2020 10:49 AM

I was at the surrey walmart yesterday around noon and it wasnt busy at all. They limited Tp 2 per family

winson604 03-13-2020 10:57 AM

So apparently baby wipes and kleenex are the thing now. Even on amazon both are sold out

Yea, clowns last night at Costco we’re buying 20+ boxes of Kleenex at a time, saw one guy with 4 air purifiers as well :rukidding:

B!tch 03-13-2020 11:01 AM

Still Creek Costco was a shit show this morning. Well the parking lot was. Triple parked, abandoned cars and crazies. I have NEVER seen it like that.

Badhobz 03-13-2020 11:04 AM

So if you get it, and survive it, are you immune afterwards ?

There have been reports even after you get it, cure you can still get it.

Euro7r 03-13-2020 11:06 AM

Don't quite get why people are hoarding toilet paper and kleenex, is that supposed to prevent virus or cure it? LOL

CorneringArtist 03-13-2020 11:09 AM

Trudeau contemplating closing the borders. Looks like were headed towards that direction...as predicted.

I guess I will need to head to Blaine to pick up my package tonight in case it happens any time soon....

Manic! 03-13-2020 11:56 AM

I think the kleenex thing is more because TP is harder to buy so the next best thing for them is kleenex

I think the TP thing though mainly started as fear buying, as humans go we see everyone doing something and you get peer pressured into doing the same. Also unlike food if there is no TP what's the alternative? You can argue well I'll use kleenex, or paper towels, or news paper but those are not really actual alternatives because you can't flush it. With say canned soup, if it's sold out well there's like hundreds of other food options available.

Akinari 03-13-2020 01:08 PM

Was in Richmond Walmart shortly after noon, nothing out of the ordinary, but definitely a little busier than what I would assume to be a normal Friday afternoon. Everything was well-stocked, no crazy lineups or anything either.

I've been planning to buy one for years now, maybe I'll finally pull the trigger on one when I move this April/May. A good mid-tier Toto one is around $400 CAD. Easy to install, but the headache is how to create a power socket right behind the toilet without having to run a stupid extension cord all the way to the socket by the sink :derp: will definitely need an electrician to gimme a hand with that.

Woops double post lol.

murd0c 03-13-2020 01:14 PM

bought a bidet off amazon and it arrived today, fuck these idiots and their obsession with TP LOL

mikemhg 03-13-2020 01:18 PM

Fuck I hate people like this. Like ticket scalpers, fitting they're from Vancouver, of course. Trash people.
