Did you not watch your own video? The people that are still buying and eating wildlife are the elite and those with above average means. I don't have a doubt the vast majority of Chinese people have never even considered eating a pangolin or bat. FFS, it's like watching the Real Housewives of wherever and calling out their massive carbon footprint and excess and then turning around and blaming "American culture for their stupid beliefs when it impacts the global population".

Anyone been to YVR is the last few days? Is it really completely empty?

hud 91gt 03-12-2020 12:34 PM

You have a brand new 4 Floor Hospital with nobody in it set to be turned over in the next 30 days, it would make a good spot for turning into a medical wing to treat virus patients and you could keep them separated from the general Hospital.

It's coming. They need to allocate resources first. Ie doc, nurses and equipment accordingly

Yup me, read that. Not really surprised, what kind of sucks is we were going a week into April and technically they haven't closed it for that date yet so we're still kind of up in the air for the rest of the month.

Most likely IMO it will be extended and trip cancelled but until it officially is I can't do anything like cancel my flights or try and work a refund from Disney if possible.

Worst case scenario I'll probably end up with credits for everything and push trip till the fall, honestly not to worried about it just playing it by ear.

Wife has a trip to New York next week, she was suppose to sing at Carnegie Hall and go see Hamilton on broadway as well as a Rangers game.. all the events have been cancelled and New York banning groups of over 500 so pretty much all shows and sights are done..

Trying to decide if I should grab a flight on points and just go anywhere that remains open but NY will probably be a shell of itself during this time

Out of an abundance of caution, the office is closed today, and tomorrow. Someone had a fever and respiratory problems. While we wait for test results, the office is getting pro-cleaned.

Was supposed to fly out to Pittsburgh on Sunday but luckily client cancelled. Glad I'm staying put. I redownloaded snapchat to see what people are posting from YVR and it looks super quiet.

i feel sorry for all the SME being effected by the sudden event closures.... Doesn't look like our government is offering much support for them compared to Hong Kong or US?

Holding China accountable for literally being an incubator of terrible diseases (why do they all come from china anyways) is racist and we're better then that, right? So get sick and die, but at least you're not making chinese peoples feelings hurt. Their practises have now affected the world and there is death and financial losses and untold other problems. China should be held financially responsible.

BREAKING: B.C. is recommending against all travel outside of Canada, including the U.S. Anyone who travels outside of the country will be required to stay home from work and school for 14 days. https://t.co/t3pRiJkGvy

Couple of my high school buddies are hardcore right wingers, and I can't believe how much they hate the guy. They also love guns for some reason, and will post about guns a lot. Oh and this virus is a "hoax". These are Canadians mind you.

Although so many of their memes put him in sexually suggestive poses, photoshop him into gay pride outfits... I'm sure there is some deep down confusing thoughts that me be what is causing these issues for them LUL

If you don't see how this is racist, you don't belong here. Please stop posting this shit or you'll be removed from the thread. No place for it here

How about going to the border at Blaine to pick up parcels and coming back?

Liquid_o2 03-12-2020 03:46 PM

I was supposed to go to Louisiana and then Atlanta next week for work. Got my travel agent to cancel flights. No change fees and credit applied to my account from United and Delta.

Wife is happy I'm staying home.
