https://www.costco.ca/miele-complete...100500111.html

probably like this, i have 50/50 carpet and hardwood.

bcrdukes 09-08-2025 12:01 PM

That will serve you well. The accessories are really nice.

For comparison, I have a Bissell* stick vacuum and the accessories like the brush head are nowhere the same quality as the Miele, but it's a situation of "you get what you pay for." The Bissell stick vacuum is good and convenient, but it's not Miele good.

Just get a C3, they come on sale at Best Buy / Costco for under 500 new.

If you have light-medium pile carpet, any one will work.
This one has the worst head (no turbo brush) for $500 on sale.

If you have thick carpet, you should get a powerline model.
This is an insane deal, I have never seen powerline this cheap.

The Miele bagless stick vac has tiny capacity, the bagless canister is weaker than it should be because it's a "single vortex" or whatever that means.

nabs 09-08-2025 02:28 PM

They are all on sale right now, but I am looking at getting the one with the power head because im surrounded by girls and I collect a lot of loose hair every time I vacuum. Its 699 right now, as opposed to 999. The non power head one is 499 - 599 right now.

Another thing im thinking about is if it would fit in my vacuum spot, I got the dyson because of the small form factor, hopefully I will have a place to store it.

Make sure you try a powerline model in store first - the hoses and tubes are a lot heavier.

The standard turbo brush (STB-305) and mini turbo brush for upholstery (STB-101) are fine even though my girlfriend has a husky ... because we don't have any medium-thick pile carpet.

I read that as "my girlfriend is a husky"

lol

I have C3 alize - auto-on/off feature is critical bceause makes it easier to just pickup and start vacuuming.
Useless features include the "nicer" wheels, LED light on the handle, auto suction.

I PPF'd mine cuz the plastic body and handle hella scratches

You got carpet? or hardwood? or mix of both? The only reason im leaning towards the powerline model is because we have carpets in two of our rooms, plus area rugs.

If you've got thick carpet, defs go powerline.

I'm hardwood + a rug here and there.

I can't believe Hobz skipped out on finishing his law degree.

The amount of ridiculous detail and technicality he's mastered with god damn Costco alone, he could've been the Saul of consumer law.

Badhobz 09-09-2025 07:39 AM

I'm more disappointed he doesn't work for Costco. He's the biggest micro influencer (hater?) for them!

I am curious if Costco's social media team has seen this thread? :suspicious:

Badhobz 09-09-2025 07:53 AM

yeah but my love for costco only stems from the blatant abuse of their return policy. If they didnt have that return policy i wouldnt even step foot inside that place and move on to my next scam....sell OPC supplements or some shit?

You are not abusing their return policy. I would reframe that claim and position your experience as benefiting from the tremendous value offered by their policies as a member. :smug:

Badhobz 09-09-2025 11:40 AM

i dont know.... bringing back a king sized mattress because i used it for staging and being too cheap to hire a mover so i strapped onto the roof of a camry seems like either the most ghetto thing ever, or the most brilliant exploit of their return policy.

All they care about is that you returned it in original packaging. :fuckyea:

Badhobz 09-09-2025 11:55 AM

no way, i couldnt. the original packaging was a vacuum sealed bag in a 4foot by 2 foot cardboard box. I guess the whole purpose was that youre not suppose to bring it back.

bcrdukes 09-09-2025 12:15 PM

Close enough. :fuckyea:

I love how the box says 8+.

Are they suggesting parents get their kids started on mahjong at an early age? :D

Badhobz 09-09-2025 01:50 PM

With the dumbasses nowadays. Anything below 8 and they might swallow a tile or something.
