Also, we went to Costco Richmond on Friday around 4pm and IMMEDIATELY got parking and there were tons of spots available. I suspect people were all swarming the business centre that day too lol.

People are stupid, 90% of people wont buy anything from that Costco. However, if they had a food court, I might go there just to avoid the parking mess at my closer location.

I heard on the news what a sh*tshow traffic was around that interchange. It was already a zoo before this along Queensborough, Walmart, Toyota, etc., always congested as it is, and now this! When I heard it on the news, I thought to myself, 'I wonder if Hobz has visited yet?' ... on cue, he has, did not fail !!

It's still a shit show today when you have to commute through QB bridge. I ended up taking the long way to Pattlulo

Went this morning at around 11:00. It was not as bad as I thought. I got there and found parking within 10 minutes. Enough people leaving that, you just wait until someone shows up. Police directing traffic helped a lot.

Once inside I was like what the fuck? The place is huge. You think you're finally at the end of the building, but find out there's more. Damn, the selection of commercial equipment is amazing. I took a shitload of pictures, but gave up after a while. There's simply too much stuff. I got the food safe buckets. Three pack for $9.99 is pretty good. Frozen fruits and vegetables were very cheap. Pop selection is very nice. Chocolates, wow......... it's like a Kelly Douglas (old school reference) on steroids. It's more like the original Price Club of yesteryear. It was pretty exciting. I'd go back but not anytime soon. The novelty of the place will eventually wear off.

remember toys, you can still return all costco items (even if they arent purchased at this biz center) at this new place. When i went on friday, i returned some outdoor string lights and some clothing. None of which they sell in the biz center, but they took it back with no issues.

Only thing biz centers doesn't sell are a) hot dogs b) clothing. - well at least for the GTA area.

no bakery = no crossaints and other desserts like cheesecakes/tuxedo cakes, etc
no meat shop = no roast chicken, no premade foods, only wholesale packaged meats
no TVs (at least i didnt see any) or Macs, or usual electronics.

whitev70r 11-17-2025 07:21 AM

Why the hell would anyone go to a Costco without roast chicken and/or hot dogs?

Badhobz 11-17-2025 07:23 AM

once the hype dies down, its good to go to return crap and theoretically have less of a lineup. Also you can still buy your milk, eggs, packaged foods and packaged meats. Along with toilet paper, detergent, and other household crap.

So its like 80% the costco with none of the usual reasons you go to costco....

you'll probably never see me there again.

yray 11-17-2025 11:10 AM

they have business delivery for orders over $250 but the prices are 10% higher than in warehouse...

might as well buy from amazon

MG1 11-17-2025 06:08 PM

Vulcan Nitrile (the good stuff) on sale until the 23rd. $3.00 off - $12.99. It went up in price, so they essentially made it somewhat okay price. These thing don’t really go bad. I still have enough to last me two lifetimes at $9.99

MG1 11-17-2025 07:57 PM

Also my favourite and long awaited Danish Butter Cookies finally went on sale. 1.81 Kg of authentic Made in Denmark goodness. So fresh. It’ll take two years to finish (pun intended) them. So unhealthy, but what the hell………….

unit 11-18-2025 07:59 AM

there is a meme going around about danish cookies being made in india
not sure if you've seen it yet but just google it lol

Let us know 2 years from now what you replace the cookies with. A sewing kit perhaps?

Vansterdam 11-18-2025 09:34 PM

I usually hit up that Walmart nearby and decided that its probably better to go sometime after 6PM to avoid all the traffic in the area.

plus thats when they discount the samosas and rotisserie chicken lol

danned 11-18-2025 10:32 PM

There are two different kinds, one kind that is cheaper made in India and of course the other kind made Denmark.

pastarocket 11-19-2025 09:33 AM

A friend of mine, a marathon runner, ran from his home in Vancouver, Marine Drive area, to this new Costco in New West. That run would be over 15K. I'm impressed haha.

He said that he saw pigs, an entire pig, hanging in freezer containers for sale there.

This Business Centre is catering to businesses like restaurant owners who would buy an entire pig? :considered:

a whole pig on a spit slow cooked is one of the best things ever. It's more of a summertime thing tho.

They have croissants and bread dough in the freezer section though. They are great to stock up and make it into whatever else you want from it. A quick search on Google/Youtube you can find the many use of them.

It's not meant for regular Costco folks but rather more for people who has resto or retail businesses.

I have my eyes on a True fridge. Just need to double check with insurance company to see if it's ok to keep it in my garage.

The selection of hams or cold cut stuff (granted you have to get the whole damn thing). If you've got families to share with, they are great. I usually share my Costco stuff with 4 families. So we got a lot of stuff yesterday afternoon.

tegra7 11-19-2025 02:36 PM

60 pack of jumbo hot dogs for $20 was worth the drive.

Badhobz 11-19-2025 02:59 PM

That's too many weiners in your mouth.
