i think this could be a permanent thing going forward. Not so much in that having a specific Canadian division, but when the Canucks go on their eastern swing they might play the eastern seaboard teams in back to backs, and then do the same back in Vancouver as opposed to having 2 separate eastern swings

Back to backs make sense, creates less travel if you do a 4 game road trip against 2 teams, then come home.
