Liquid posted something that, as I posted, is documented with a quote from the man himself stating he wants to stay. He ended up taking a reasonable contract from Montreal, so it's not outlandish to think he would've accepted a similar contract in Vancouver. You could have easily verified his comments yourself if you doubted him.
All 3 players are quoted in the media as stating they would like to stay. It isn't hard to find Tweets or articles indicating that Tanev's camp hadn't received an offer or that Toffoli's camp hadn't had serious discussions or that most of the negotiations have revolved around Markstrom.

Quinn and Brady are best friends. The Hughes and Tkachuk family are actually really close family friends so Quinn and Matthew were probably just happy to be playing against each other.

It was pointed out that Tkachuk could've lit up Hughes with a hit during that same game but pulled off at the last second.
