You know who else kinda ripped it up in the KHL last year?

Nikolay Goldobin :lawl:

Not even joking either... his numbers before were pretty mediocre... like scored a lot in the OHL and AHL... but NHL and KHL not really, he was a .5ppg player in the KHL... then this past season he won a bunch of awards and was almost a ppg... 39pts in 42 games. He might garner some interest again... I always felt like he got run into the shitter by Green.

tarobbt 06-20-2022 01:44 PM

kuzmenko going to become the next panarin

one can hope right?

Liquid_o2 06-20-2022 01:53 PM

If Kuzmenko could hit 40 points this season, that would be a huge win.

EvoFire 06-20-2022 02:08 PM

I think maybe our hopes are a little too high on Kuzmenko? I can understand that it's kind of like getting a free 1st rounder, but even then it's just a high chance lottery ticket. So many players don't transition well from KHL/SHL etc.

This is great, it's like a free first round pick to be honest. That said, he is just picking the best place for him to rack up points and land a massive 2nd contract I think... hopefully he ends up feeling some loyalty here if he really is as good as advertised.

I know it's unrealistic, but just daydreaming, imagine a Russian line of him, Podz and Nichushkin... absolutely steamrolling everyone on forecheck and rush lol

I would tend to agree that this means Boeser's time with the team is likely over... which is kind of sad. I can't see Boeser as a 3rd liner. If his qualifying offer wasn't $7.5M he'd be back but he's a 5.5-6M player right now and that's on a good year.

I feel if Boeser signs a LT deal at 6? Garland will probably be gone I feel.

If he wanted to rack up the points he would of signed with Edmonton, I think it's more then just points he wants a good fit which Vancouver is.

I honestly think Boeser and Garland are gone now, that will give the Canucks enough cap flexibility to sign Miller to a 9mill a year deal and the signing of Kuz helps them make that possible.

68style 06-20-2022 03:32 PM

Well yah… Edmonton fuckin sucks to live in if you’re rich so Vancouver is an easy choice there lol

Losing Garland would be a bit foolish, I think Myers is gone not Garland… Dickinson gonna be bought out… and Rutherford just loooooves trading Pearson lol

BlackV62K2 06-20-2022 03:41 PM

Doesn't Myers have a NTC or NMC?

Razor Ramon HG 06-20-2022 03:42 PM

Modified NTC

68style 06-20-2022 03:55 PM

He has a list of 10 teams he can’t go to starting July 1

bobbinka 06-20-2022 04:11 PM

2 more weeks till draft and 3 till free agency. hope things ramp up soon

SkinnyPupp 06-20-2022 04:45 PM

This Tampa crowd is comatose

SkinnyPupp 06-20-2022 04:45 PM

And now they have a reason to be LUL

BlackV62K2 06-20-2022 04:55 PM

If Myers, Pearson and Dickenson goes PogChamp

Liquid_o2 06-20-2022 04:57 PM

I'd like to keep Pearson, he seems to be very well liked in the dressing room and is still young enough. He can provide 40 points and leadership. Also a heavy body.

I'm fine with Myers going, but only if we have someone who can we replace those 20 to 22 minutes a night with.

tarobbt 06-20-2022 04:59 PM

palat woooo

SkinnyPupp 06-20-2022 05:53 PM

That has to be it for Kuemper this series right? Even though he has a shutout it's not like that was on spectacular play

spoon.ek9 06-21-2022 06:43 AM

Kuemper is still the better choice between him and Francouz though. Which obviously isn't saying much compared to what Vassy has done lol.

Hondaracer 06-21-2022 06:47 AM

i dont really get all this want to get rid of Meyers, guy isnt THAT bad of a contract and he eats mintues

in the last few years weve been seemingly wanting to just get rid of guys to free up that salary but then we have no plan to replace these serviceable guys other than these long shot hope and prayer signings lol. Hopefully we can have some better luck under the new regime

68style 06-21-2022 06:57 AM

His cap hit is $6M for this upcoming season and, more importantly, the season after as well… that’s a pretty big deal on this team.

winson604 06-21-2022 08:15 AM

I don't have an issue with Myers just not for the price and well he eats minutes because we are forced to have him eat minutes not necessarily because he's amazing at it, we just don't have anyone else. We also could have just had Tanev also a right handed D do the same job for 4.5 but oh wells Benning was too busy to reach out to his agent.

As for Pearson I'm cool with, last year when he missed time with the team was when it really dawned on my the things he offered. That said if he falls past the 2nd line then that's where it'll be an issue for me because we have to stop this 3rd line making over 3 million nonsense.

I like pearson. His cap hit is not that bad when considering he plays all in so many situations. I think he's more suited for the 3rd line than the 2nd line.

EDIT: What am I doing........... wait for next season to talk about the Canucks. Gotta get in on the first page. Right after cup is won by Colorado.

murd0c, be ready. Don't disappoint.

The stats do not support this... Kuemper has allowed more goals than expected based on metrics for shots taken from dangerous places in 9/11 games he has played.

Francouz has been better.

Neither of them are even close to Vasilevsky...
