Smitty has not played well consistently in the playoffs. That fifth goal tonight that he let in was the Colorado player scoring on the five hole.

The fourth Colorado goal started with Smith leaving his crease to play the puck. That play resulted in a turnover leading to a goal.

I predicted Avs in 6.. hovered over the 5 key for a few mins before posting but figured the oilers’ top guns might steal more than one game. I didn’t see the sweep coming but knew the Avs would take the series eventually.

A colleague of mine suddenly passed over the weekend and he was a big Lightning fan living in Tampa. I was shocked at his hockey knowledge the day we met and will be rooting for the threepeat in his memory. That said, I wouldn’t be mad if the Avs win the Cup as I had them as the favourites going in.

Love playoff hockey. So good.
