I don't think anyone expected Vegas to be as good as they were after their expansion draft. Regardless, I could see Seattle being a bubble playoff team if their goal tending and defense holds up. |
We're lucky we've had such great commentating over the past several years. Watching the Root Streams broadcast last night was tough. |
Any channels showing the Nucks/Flames right now? |

No commentary, but enjoy! https://www.nhl.com/canucks/video/pr...438/c-61022303 |
game is getting pretty chippy already. calgary extra salty after that second goal. |
:notbad: OEL looks good. Canucks capable of thrashing an AHL team. Nothing to worry so far. |
all of a sudden we have commentators lol |

I actually thought my right speaker broke, haha. |
There wasn't any commentary at all most of the first period... much better now haha |
OEL actually looked pretty good tonight. Really quite similar to a younger Edler who would rock people with solid hits. |
Eriksson is looking pretty good too. I guess each player just needed a fresh start, lol |
he probably couldn't handle the stress of our market. coming in with a 6M contract and not producing much of anything would kill anyone's self confidence. |
it's contract year, loui's gotta put up some points to make sure Jimbo gives him another 6mil/yr |
Not sure how credible this source is but that puts Petey right into UFA at end of the contract? |
I'm good with that, we have like a 3 year window max right now, I don't care if he's a UFA in 5 years. Someone else will have come along by then and the cap will be much higher hopefully. I love Petey but he isn't a superstar... or hasn't show he's one yet... a star yes, but not a superstar. |

Seems like other teams figured out how to play against him. While getting similar points in his 2nd season, he looked like he was fighting a lot harder to get his goals. He was simply shut down a lot in the 3rd season. He's only proven to be a 70-80~pt player right now. But hyped up like he's a 90-100pt player. Actually the way how his 3rd season slid, I think he still needs another full season to prove he's at least a legit pt/g player.. |
You’re nothing until you can stay healthy |
8 to 8.5 for 5 years? That’s perfectly reasonable and a no brainer. Get it done (Hughes too) and get these guys into the preseason so they hit the ground running in the regular season. |

If you, as a GM, need someone you signed THIS off season to retire for family reasons in order to sign the two stars you already knew you needed to sign…… I don’t even know what to say about that. |
there's ~$16M-ish available to sign both the kids after putting Ferland to LTIR...if Hamonics cap hits gets moved off the books, they'll have almost $20M to sign the kids and find a replacement |
Vancouver sports radio market is just Halford and Brough now? |
| All times are GMT -8. The time now is 09:38 PM. |
