I kinda feel like the players deserve some blame too…. It’s one thing for them to tune their coach out or maybe his strategies are bad but they definitely weren’t trying either. It wasn’t that long ago they were playing their guts out in the bubble playoffs for the same coach. They can only look in the mirror for that part. I feel like as professionals they need to be able to surpass tuned out coaching better.

what I found very hard to watch while Green/Baumgartner was behind the bench was our PK.

It was always an instant PP goal for the other team. I was at the Avs game once, shortly before Green was fired. It was frustrating to watch. COL goes on the PP and I immediately told my partner that they will score, and indeed they did.

After the loss, there were huge chants of "Fire Benning" across the lobby as we exited the arena. Good times!

My problem with green and staff was that nothing was ever adjusted. They’d seemingly roll out the same system over and over and over again with the same results and would only ever make the most minor tweaks

As noted above with the PK, fucking try ANYTHING else like give the PK full reign and just say go out there full energy high pressure coverage. But no they’d set up in the same old system trying to clog up the front of the net and those cross crease passes etc. would almost always score

Im not a huge fan of coaching systems where they tell their players to buy in and ull see the results in time. Like how much time did Green need? I pegged Lammikko as completely useless but now hes thriving under Boudreau. Whose fault is that? Seems to me Boudreau gets the best out of his players by putting them in situations where they are best at. While Green tries to change n mold guys into the player that he wants.

The contrast between a systems first coach, and a player's first coach. Not saying the systems way is never the successful but it clearly wasn't working here for way too long.

Green was too fixated on having players perform there roles and nothing else. It clearly got to the point where once Bruce stepped in, players came to him with suggestions on how they could take on different roles. Before the change, we never saw certain players on the PK (Hughes, Petey, etc). When your PK is making history as the worst ever, it's time to change it up. Green did not...
