Oh yeah |
Cool After Hours interview after the game with Canmi Granato and Caddie Campbell. |
So Canucks obviously aren't cup contenders. Do they keep being a mid pack team that doesn't make the playoffs but also get shit 1st round draft positions cause they dont suck enough? Its the like the worse spot to be in. |
Bring back Greene to be a tank commander for the rest of the season :alonehappy: |
lol, just in time for trade deadline... At least it's that much more obvious now what needs to be done. |
Halak seems pissed about being told to play in the 3rd. Most likely means he won't get to start next game. |
Hamonic to Ottawa for 2022 3rd round draft pick |
3rd pick for dermott :seriously: |
So we save 1.5 of cap and got younger. He's so a RFA at the end if his contract? Hope a change if scenary helps the kid. |
Ffs :rukidding: |
Time to sell ... ?? |
team is simply not good enough. the come back was fun while it lasted! |
Bruce....... there he goes. |
Sure it ain't over until it's over and up until recently there was a legit shot but with this recent slump I'm sorry it's over. Good ride since the Bruce era started, if anything it showed me what I thought the team could have been which was the ability to compete for a spot to the dance but far good enough to be a sure in and definitely not at the level to compete for the cup yet. Hopefully we can male some more moves like we did today and dump some salary and let's give it another go next year. |
As is with most Canucks teams who are just alright. 1. Sell at deadline 2. Go on an unbelivable run to sneak into the playoffs 3. have a mediocre performance, letting Aquaman profit off 2games minimum in revenue 4. a shitty draft position This team is too good to tank, and not good enough to go far. |
exactly, we've been stuck in mediocrity forever. it needs to change. |
Which players would Allvin trade for the right offer from other teams? If it is about increasing cap space, adding more draft picks to rebuild the team, then I agree with the assessment from Sportsnet: Boeser, Miller, Garland, Meyers https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...rade-deadline/ -not sure about putting Schenn on the trade block. The team's obvious needs are more first round draft picks, and a better defence. Better defencemen and a better backup goalie. The disturbing trend with this team is the slow starts to each game. This team, for whatever reason, always lets the opposition score the first goal. Are these players ready to play and compete starting from the first shift? Out shot, out chanced in the first period of a game. The game against Calgary last Saturday was a prime example. How many high grade scoring chances did the Flames have in the first period of that game compared to the Canucks? The two players that stood out to me in the game against Sabres were Horvat and Miller. Too many passengers on this team now. |
Horvat and Miller stood out offensively but they were both pretty bad on the OT goal, Miller especially just standing there watching… guy pisses me off so much sometimes. |
all I know is I think some fireworks are going to go off today, I can't wait to see what this new management for the Canucks are going to do. |
Speaking of fireworks, the Blackhawks just traded Fleury to the Wild for a conditional first round pick. Fleury's cap hit is $7 million. Then Minnesota made this trade: Pierre LeBrun reports the 25-year-old Finn has been dealt to the San Jose Sharks for defenceman Jacob Middleton. Kahkonen is 12-8-3 this season with a .910 save percentage and a goals against average of .910. |
Reimer to the Oilers maybe? |
How is Reimer doing? Maybe the Leafs should pick him up for insurance. |
Reimer sucks everywhere he goes, he already played for the Leafs for like 5 years |
Was at the game on last night, definitely the usual slow first period start. Looks like a different team showed up in the 3rd but couldn't finish and yeah in OT they didn't even have possession of the puck |
In terms of backup goalies, our Canucks can definitely use an upgrade of our backup position. Only Dim Jim could give a 35 plus year old goalie in Halak a one year contract with no movement clause. Thanks, Benning! |
