Besides the give away Blueger has looked good. Reminds me of Burrows, good vision to know where to go on the ice, good speed, tenacious forecheck. |
This is crazy. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been an Oiler for 13 seasons and is on his 10th coach. :lol |
Oilers fans seem pretty split on the decision with many thinking Holland should have been fired instead lol. Oh well, not our problem. |
It's a tough call because this roster almost made it all the way last year, but obviously things aren't working this year. Sports are weird |
Watch the oilers start winning again to justify the new coach lol. What a joke. 13 season and 10 coaches. |
crosscheck to the back of Bo's knees :lol fucking oilers. |
Wooo! Oilers are red hot now. |
Interesting development over the fellow who died on ice, cut by skate blade. There has been an arrest for manslaughter. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-...shire-67419951 |

Brandon Gee Moore's attack was way worse and blatantly intentional, but the victim was ok so everything's under the rug now. |
here is one person's opinion, hard to prove for sure ... |

Please tell me this isn't your account Kappa |
I will say, I’ve watched hockey for 30 years, played for 10 Not once in that time even in the most amateur leagues possible, have I ever seen anything close to that movement |
I don't think he intended to strike the face/neck area, but he definitely intended to impede the victim with a move like that. |
Damn, I didn't watch the video. That's way more fucked than I thought. |
https://videos.marca.com/v/0_ol2gdp4...-skate?count=0 Here's the full clip for a bit more context: It doesn't look like much contact was made between Petgrave and Johhson's teammate moments prior. So it's very questionable how/why Petgrave even lost balance like that to initial his skate rising up like that. I've read up a bit more on this guy, he's known to have done dirty things before involving lifting his skates, and he also lead the EIHL last season with the most PIM. :suspicious: |
Bo coming home. Wondering what the fans will do? give him a nice welcome or boo the hell out of him. lol. |
I have played hockey for 20+ years including Jr A... I have never ever seen the movement of his foot like that before after a hit and I've seen lots of hits of people getting rocked and hurt. when you are that experienced and are on the ice you have full control and what happened isn't just an accident. |

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...-to-vancouver/ https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/horv...r-canucks-fans Bo Horvat, asked about upcoming return to Vancouver, said he's not sure how fans will react. He knows what he said going out the door might have been misinterpreted. Said his frustration was with management, never the fans. Loved his time in Vancouver. Very happy now w/ #Isles Horvat was the Canucks captain for quite a few years. -played for the team for nine years. Bo answered every question to the best of his ability as a Captain. He didn't shy away from the pressure of being a Canucks captain. -faced many dark seasons as a Canuck and as the captain surrounded by reporters asking questions, and shitting on the team. Horvat faced many dark days, dark seasons as a Canucks captain. Did he make a careless response to the Islanders PR team about his time in Vancouver? Absolutely. I think his comments about Vancouver are about the management. -about the way management treated him. Bo got the impression that his contract would be extended. Management was not being upfront and honest with him? I know, I know. The team couldn't afford to sign him. -needed to clear cap space in order to sign a better D-man. right hand shot. Canucks management chose to extend the contract of Miller or Bo. Having said that, I really don't think that Bo said those things about Vancouver to disrespect the team or the fans. What matters the most is what Bo's former team mates think about him as a man: -from McIntyre's article. Miller said he was not going to "dip my toe in that basket" when asked what should be the fans’ reaction to Horvat on Wednesday. "No matter what happens... in the room we all know the kind of guy he is,” Miller said. "He's a really good teammate. At the end of the day, I can't really say much more about a guy. It's going to be good to see him and we expect him to be flying, that's for sure." "I think people should welcome him and celebrate him on his return," Canucks defenceman Quinn Hughes, Horvat’s successor as captain, said after Tuesday’s practice. "He put in nine really good years here and he was always solid, never complained. He was a great leader... someone that everyone could kind of go to if they needed to talk to someone. It wasn't always the easiest years and he always stepped right in front of it. So, yeah, he should be welcomed, celebrated." |
I think the fans should cheer him during the tribute video he deserves that and to boo him the rest of the way. Watch Miller or Cole just light him up with a big hit to start the game off lol |
It would be sweet if Miller and Bo got into a fight lol |
If Miller cross checks him behind the right knee, maybe Bo will take offense to that and fight. lol. |
quit being homo on Bo - more importantly, who am i betting on to complete my parlay? moneyline Canucks?!!!!!! |
There's really no reason to boo Horvat. The only "animosity" was from that comment that was misinterpreted and overblown, which he has also clarified. |
