like i said awhile ago, i know as an organization we're "all in" but as a fan i'm not going there. win a round or two, then i'll think differently. |
Troy Stecher to EDM |
Have to assume Canucks management thinks they have all the pieces they need for a successful playoff run, while others like the Knights, Avs, and Canes think they have to address some issues. |
At this point hopefully everyone is healthy for the playoffs and we'll see where we're really at as far as being a contender goes. |
I think if the Canucks better the last time they were in the playoffs, it'd be a win of a season. C'mon let's be honest, this core/team doesn't have what it takes to win it all. So, Canucks win 2 rounds, go into the 3rd and it will be a successful season. Voice of reason. |
I’d disagree. The Canucks can win it all this season. I’m not as optimistic as I was during the 2010-2011 season but it is possible. Are they the favourites? No. Can they surprise some people? Yes. I’m also glad we didn’t give up the farm for Guentzel and hope we land Toffoli. Toffoli + Lindholm > 1 Guentzel. Lindholm can be a beast for us in the playoffs and I hope he proves me right! |
ahah watching Miller trying to buy more time is funny. Last game Canucks iced the puck last mins of 3rd period. Miller takes his time and almost gets waived from the face off circle. Then tonight Hughes iced the puck, and Miller go to the bench to get a new stick. LUL |

Expectations and predictions are meaningless. It's just noise in your head. Playoffs in sports are crazy, and pretty much every fan SHOULD have zero expectations for their favourite teams, other than "I hope they try to win". Sometimes things go well an they do. For literally every other team, things don't go as well, and they lose. |

Oilers would be playing the Kings. 2nd and 3rd seed of the same division play each other. 1st seed plays one of the teams in the wild card spot. Oilers and Avs can't play each other unless they both make it to the semi finals. |
Toffoli plays for the Jets now: The New Jersey Devils closing in on a deal to send Tyler Toffoli to the Winnipeg Jets, according to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger. Winnipeg Jets and New Jersey devils are closing on trade sending Tyler Toffoli to Wpg. — Darren Dreger (@DarrenDreger) March 8, 2024 Chris Johnston notes the deal is for draft picks. Draft picks heading to #NJDevils in the Tyler Toffoli deal. I wonder which players that Allvin will try to trade for now that Guentzel and Toffoli are not available anymore. I saw some chatter around Buchnevich |

The guy on first intermission yesterday said it best... Canucks already made significant deals in the past few months... if they made them yesterday or today it would be like ZOMG CUP RUN... it's actually the other teams playing catch-up, not us getting left behind. |
Can Canucks make Mr. Hot Dog man, Phil the Thrill under $125K? |
This graphic doesn't encompass Myers being on LTIR |

Canucks secret $6mil weapon that will magically be healed on game 1 playoffs? |
I wouldn't be surprised to see him move there ;) |
They had weeks to make space... |
Hertl to Vegas like fuck off, what a fucking joke |
Vegas has not been playing well recently. Vegas GM signs Hertl in order to re-ignite their offence? It's a bit surprising that the defending champs are a wild card team now. It would be funny if Vegas does NOT make the playoffs after the trade deadline moves that they make. LUL |
Probably impossible... but fuck.. I would love it so much if Flames, Kraken, or Blues go on a hot streak and bounce Vegas out of the playoffs. |
I’m torn between wanting Vegas to play Edmonton and them missing because of all their cap circumvention BS.. Vegas in the playoffs isn’t good for the Canucks, they’ve had a hell of a time with them ever since they’ve come into the league |
loool, weeks of trade talks amount to nothing. |
Was hoping we would sign Toffoli . He was great back when he played with Miller. Oh wells. |
-looks like Costco hot dog sales will not rise sharply after this news about Kessel: The Vancouver Canucks will not be adding three-time Stanley Cup champion Phil Kessel to their roster... [emoji15][emoji102] The club and Kessel did not agree on a contract per The Athletic’s Thomas Drance. The team needed to come to terms with the veteran winger before the noon PT deadline to keep his eligibility for this year’s postseason [emoji102] The Canucks freed up the cap space needed to sign Kessel earlier in the day by sending Vasili Podkolzin to the AHL. However, there was still no deal made [emoji17] #canucks #vancouver #nhl Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
