Did you guys hear Podkolzin got super fucked up the other night? Scary shit... similar to how Matheson threw Petey down to the ice in his rookie season but way worse... Podz got tossed down and then apparently he was convulsing having a siezure on the ice for several minutes before they could stabilize him and get him to a hospital.

I haven't heard much updates on his condition but wow... poor guy had 6 goals in 6 games up to that point too, finding his confidence.

I've always wondered for that no gambling rule in sports, how do you even enforce that if you have friends or family bet for you?

With the litany of betting sites, I'd imagine that would be pretty tricky to track in any meaningful way.

They said on the radio this morning NHL players can bet on anything they want outside of anything to do with the NHL or relating to the professional league so presumably farm teams etc.

If they use licensed partner apps like Draft Kings and what not, they are tracked with extreme precision. They know who is betting, where they are when they bet.. If your sister bets, they will probably track your phone and see if you were nearby.

Maybe you can get away with it using burner phones and whatnot.. Or use underground betting apps using bitcoin... But why bother? Still a chance you get caught. And these guys are betting like hundreds or thousands of dollars like any jabronie.. It's such a waste.

if you are on a track record with big wins -say 40 grand. they'll send your winnings but need a bank record of where the money came from first. if they see its deposited from your friend a number of times on record... your winnings are forfeited because "Account sharing" and against terms of service you agreed to using the site.

People always shit on the aqualinis but I’m sure A) this thing cost a tonne, and B) it’s so big that it’s virtually impossible to move out of the way for concerts etc. so they very clearly prioritized the Canucks experience over everything else
