https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...1f17a10e_c.jpg Spoiler! Thought it was only me with that spine tilt. Gonna re-scan again hopefully in March, if I hit 189 or look leaner. Hitting protein + deficit in the last 10 weeks, visually looks like I re-comped 3-4% of body fat even at 205lbs. Haven't done leg day in close to 2-3 years but all the fat loss has been legs first. Just want mike's traps and shoulders, yes homo |
I have mild rotational scoliosis, it actually wreaks havoc on my life. If i dont stretch just about daily then my side gets really tight and eventually its so uncomfortable and even painful. Sucks! |
More like a, do you guys have any input type of post. Ever since I hurt my hand in April of last year, on a suggestion of a workout buddy I've taken collagen as a thing to help with joints and soft tissue and cartilage health. Since the whole low bone density discovery with the DEXA scan I kind of dove into it a little more and on a bit of a whim yesterday, bought the organika marine collagen powder since it was on sale. I haven't started using it and just put it away but it's a collagen/protein powder, and it needs to be mixed with stuff. I just feel all of a sudden I am at this next stage of life where I can't just leave my body be anymore and actually need to go out of my way to help it. Also looking at calcium supplements and looking into the whole bit where you need to take enough magnesium with it so you don't end up with inflammation. |
You hurt your hand ? Roast puffery hurt his hand too …… Stop jerking each other off you bunch of faggots |
I don't have any good recommendations or input on collagen supplements -- I just tend to buy whichever cheapest collagen supplement product that is on sale at Costco when I start to run short. And I am only doing it for the super vain reason of trying to have better skin / less wrinkles LOL~ No idea how well that is working, since I am still gradually getting old LOL~ On the other hand, I quite firmly believe that NMN supplements have been working very well for me. Since I started taking it, I noticed that my energy level and mental clarity have improved. I wouldn't say it is a night and day difference, but it certainly felt like a noticeable difference, so it might be something other RSers could try as well. |

My current batch (of NMN) is just purchased from Costco -- made by Webber Naturals. It was on sale, so I stocked up LOL~ |

I'm starting to think this thread is revealing who here is a hypochondriac more than anything. :inoutugh: |
Got convinced to register for the seawheeze, I am now a future track star. Knees and ankles hurt though, can't run and play vball, so gonna drop vball lol |

Its all downhill from 30 :okay: |
Anecdotally, two of my high school friends went through a similar experience as described by donk. Both grew up playing vball but they both went on to play recreational league on sand for many years. Both ended up needing surgery at around the same time, 8 months apart from each other. Last I spoke to them, their lives aren't the same. Just food for thought. |
another thing to be careful with mike and gerbs, if you have scoliosis then compressive exercises like squats might be something to be careful with, especially when going heavy. consider talking to your doctor or physio about it. |

Consistent usage of squatting may lead to further medical conditions such as nammer-itius, squattypotty, and other complicated asian and occasional Slavic in an Adidas jumpsuit based connotations. |
Squatting leads to smoking at the back door of shady restaurants too |

I'm going to reduce play within the next 1-2 years down to max 1x a week and maybe phase out completely, it's a young mans sport. I don't wanna do an ACL or Achilles surgery, already tore a pec. Quote:

I have to squat with my heels elevated due to tight calves, hips, and wear and tear from track and field, and lifting for a little over 20 years now, all that crap. I find a band around the quads while squatting also helps with knee pain, I'm sure my slightly curved spine could be the culprit, but more likely tight hips. I don't go higher than 315lbs (3 plates) anymore when going heavy, and usually hang around 225-275lbs for higher rep work (12-15 reps). No need to wag the cock about anymore, lower weight with higher reps still elicits good size gains without the risk of injury and pain. I always tell older guys who ask me shit at the gym, don't chase these stupid 20 year-olds doing 1RMs all the time. Fuck em, do you. |

Finally broke the 200lb barrier for the first time in probably 10 years. 199.4lbs. This counting calorie thing actually works, stronger all together, feeling much better. |
Congrats!! |
At what age did you guys start getting your cholesterol checked if you have a family history of it being high? |
keep up the hard work  i switched out bike and stairmaster for swimming. i havent swam lanes in like 20 years, forgotten all the proper breathing techniques, after 150m i was gasping for air. |
