Saints are the only team yet to hire a coach, so presumably their guy is on one of the 4 remaining teams

Good news for Lamar and the Ravens, as OC Todd Monken didn't get hired this cycle! Ravens fans are celebrating lol SeemsGood

I don't think he was that interested in head coaching anyway; I remember reading that in an interview he did.

Turnovers hurt the Commanders chances
Of winning the NFC championship.

Props to the Eagles. Saquon Barkley ran the ball down the throats of Washington. Hurts and Shipley also played well.

He's as clutch as anyone, his team just lost a close game like any team can lose a close game

That desperation throw to his TE was clutch AF. but the TE didn't catch it.

It's one of those dumb basic bitch things that dumb fans say "can't get it done in the playoffs". That means nobody is good, except for one person.

Edit to say you're right though. Whether I like it or not, people will say dumb things. Just have to ignore it.

Credit also needs to go the Chiefs defensive coordinator for today’s win against the Bills.

The corner blitz on the Bills’ fourth down in the final minutes of the game was a great call from Spagnola.

Is the Bills defence good enough? Chiefs scored more than 30 points for the first time with this win over the Bills. -not enough big plays from the Bills defence?

I would want to know what the accusations are before reacting. Were they criminal acts like Deshaun Watson was accused of doing? Locking women in rooms, forcing them to jerk him off and put their fingers deep inside of his asshole, jumping on them and trying to rape them? Or is it like "this guy was a perv" stuff that is worthy of public condemnation but not necessarily criminal justice?

BTW I'd ask that about anyone accused, not just my team (I know this will be ignored but whatever). Went through the same thing with Deshaun when the accusations first came out.

So this happened between 2012 (rookie year) and 2016. He would get a boner and try to squirm so his towel would come off. Apparently he left some juice behind. Nothing like the Watson accusations, but pervy nonetheless. Once you start doing that, they will ask you to leave and not come back.

Seems like a good reason to ban him from massage parlors and have him go to people who would be more "hands on". Maybe he started doing that in 2016, who knows. That is when he got married as well

Not sure why it came out now, but I doubt it had anything to do with his mid season slump.

First time seeing Kendrick Lamar (edit: I am told he was at the LA Super Bowl so I would have seen him then too but I guess he wasn't a big star then) and that was fucking incredible. Great production, sick bass lines. I am familiar with the backstory but not the song, and when the entire crowd chanted "A MINOR" I got goosebumps. Even on the outside looking in, it was sick.

And I appreciated the down to earth production without the dumb stunts or fake fans on the field

Big credit goes to the Eagles’ defence. Six sacks and no blitzes. They put constant pressure on Mahomes. This defence forced Mahomes to rush his throws. As a result, he threw for two interceptions.

The main issue with Diggs is he's a bit of a cancerous player, he's more of a me guy than a team guy, and in his eyes he's more important than the team. As long as their getting him the ball consistently, probably not an issue but if he isn't the number one guy, or if he feels he isn't getting the ball enough he'll rot that team from the inside out.

It's the reason he's no longer a Viking, or a Bill, not sure about how he was on the Texans.

https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2025/4/1/24398712/nfl-rule-changes-overtime-kickoffs-replay

This is a pretty big rule change off the field in terms of free agency:

Free agency changes: PASSED

This is the biggest off-field element of the new rule changes. It allows for teams to conduct meeting with players over Zoom (which is fairly minor), but much more importantly allows teams to schedule meetings with free agents before the Legal Tampering Period begins.

These meetings can be scheduled before the league year opens, which means we could see top free agents begin to tip their hands as soon as the Super Bowl is over. Yes, this means the league year is going to feel even longer, and there’s going to be more data to track.

Wild start, with the Jags trading up to get the only superstar of the draft class. Browns were smart to do it because they HAD to pick him, but they also were not the right fit for him. So why not get a bunch of picks you desperately need instead? Also good for the Jags, as he is a legit superstar and a 2 way player so they basically got two 1st round picks for the price of one.

Packers taking their first 1st round WR in 20+ years was a great moment since it was in GB. Dude comes across like a big time star too

Giants trading back into the first round to get Jaxon Dart (not Shadeur!) was a cool moment. Shadeur continues to fall

Ravens about to pick now. Hoping it's Malakai Starks but they go with whoever they think is the best player available, no matter what position.

Edit: They got him! Malakai Starks and Kyle Hamilton LFGGGGGGGGG

Jags’ big trade to get two way player Travis Hunter is huge for sure.

-from NFL.com:

One of college football's best players on both sides of the ball, Hunter enters the NFL from Colorado lugging a trophy case filled to the brim with hardware. An All-American in both seasons with the Buffaloes, Hunter is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, took home the Walter Camp Player of the Year award in 2024, the Biletnikoff Award as the nation's best wide receiver and the Bednarik Award as the nation's top defender.

The dual-threat played a whopping 1,460 snaps last season, an average of 111.5 per game, as a full-time WR and CB. No one else has averaged over 78 snaps per game in the past decade, per NFL Research. Playing corner, Hunter collected a career-best four interceptions and 11 passes defensed in 2024. On offense, he had 96 receptions for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns, all of which ranked top five in the FBS.

Mykel Williams is gonna be a great player for the 49ers. Co worker of mine, a 49ers fan, is happy to see him play for San Fran.

Good height. Needs to get stronger. Great explosive athleticism. Bosa and Saleg will be good mentors to help Williams improve his game.

As my co-worker described Williams, "Mykel is gonna be a dawg".

Saints finally went QB!

They said it was a weak QB draft going in and they weren't lying. The constant Sanders talk really is annoying. Why not wait until someone drafts him before talking about him?

Even when the Titans picked Cam Ward first overall, they were talking about fucking Sanders who will probably be a 3rd round pick.

OK I thought the attention Sanders got for not being drafted in the first 2 rounds was overblown, but not even getting drafted on day 2 is pretty wild.

I know he made a lot of money in college but not going in the top 5 like his dad thought to where he was drafted at 144 he lost somewhere between 30-40 million guaranteed salary.

Maybe this humbles him? Probably not, I think he washes out of the league in two years. Interesting, Steelers only got a couple of picks for him, in hockey terms, a bag of pucks. Pickens is dynamic on the field but he must be cancer .. another Antonio Brown Diva type. Good luck Dallas, low risk investment as Pickens is on his last year of rookie contract and he'll be playing for big money so there is a lot of upside. But Jerry, don't have contract talks with him till after the season.

And DK is kind of the same way, just to a lesser extent.

He should be good for Dallas as long as he doesn't crash out the way Martavis Bryant, Antonio Brown, Diontae Johnson, and our boy Chase Claypool all did after leaving the Steelers. Good luck!

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nfl/article/ravens-harbaugh-says-theres-no-damage-to-lamar-jacksons-foot/

OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh says star quarterback Lamar Jackson is “fine” after his foot was stepped on this week.

That's the same thing the Ravens told reporters Wednesday, but after Jackson wasn't at practice Thursday, Harbaugh was understandably asked for an update.

Got his foot stepped on, like we said yesterday,” Harbaugh said. “They did a quick X-ray, and there's no damage or anything like that. I'm sure it's a little sore today, so we just kept him in, but he's fine. He's going to be good.”

The odds for the Packers winning the Superbowl just got better after this blockbuster trade to acquire Parsons.

As for the Cowboys, another season of mediocrity. Although they got a good player in Kenny Clark, it won't be many years until we know what kind of players Dallas will get with their two first round picks from Green Bay.

Yah, first 3 quarters were all Ravens, they looked like a well oiled machine in mid season form but then 4th quarter ... things started going Bills' way. Without a doubt, both teams are top tier. Will have to wait to see them battle it out in the playoffs again but great football game. For the fans of both teams ... a bit of a heart attack.

1. KC lost ... good.
2. LV > NE ... Pasta, thoughts?
3. Rodgers wins in debut with gold and black, did pretty decent for a >40 yo QB. Fields was decent for NYJ as well.
4. NYG ... talking about benching Russell Wilson already.
5. Sam Darnold era in Seattle ... if this is a sign of things to come, not going to end well.
6. GB looking like a good team on both ends, offense and defence. They should rise to the top.

I woke up at 1:30 to watch the games, 11 hours ago now, so my brain is a bit mush now.. let's see

Brownies almost beat the Bungles, if only their kicker could kick. I said from the start that they'll hire Tucker since he fits in perfectly with their culture, so watch for that now

I predicted Miami to be the dumpster fire team of the year, and that's looking good so far

Steelers/Jets similar to Ravens/Bills with just a mental game with shit defense on both sides. Cannot expect either team to score like this again

Giants O-line STINKS and Russ is not the answer. I think Dart would get killed behind these guys

Seahawks look really rough on offense, and Purdy pissed down his leg in his first game as a top paid QB. McCaffery carried the team

Micah Parsons made an impact already, but the Lions did not look ready to start the season at all.

Then you have Ravens/Bills, and like I said, I'm not the type to have hot takes even after a crushing loss (I've even been accused of doing it to troll, but I promise you it's just how I am, even if I am having a heart attack during the game)

I see a lot of fans freaking out "fire the coach" and all that, but.. eh it was a 1 point game against possibly the other best team in the league that had a lot of things go the other way (not to excuse the bad play or play calls or clock management). Dropped INTs, a deflected pass leading to a TD on a 4th down attempt, a once in a blue moon fumble by Henry. Any one of those doesn't happen, and everyone is celebrating.

I just have to hope the actual things that can be controlled are improved upon, because obviously there was some bad play and coaching, so that kind of fluke shit doesn't cause them to lose a game they should have won.

The Patriots offence needs to better. A lot better in order for the team to win games.

Drake Maye threw an interception that lead to a Raiders touchdown.

New England was just 4 of 14 on third down in coach Mike Vrabel's debut. The Patriots rushed 18 times for only 60 yards.

Honestly, this week was a boring week, I didn't see any interesting games at all frankly. Maybe Superbowl rematch but that was kinda slow too ... nothing close to the Buffalo vs. Ravens excitement in week 1. That game is my vote of Game of the Year, I don't need to see any other games for the rest of the season to question that.

Of all games, maybe Giants and Cowboys caught my attention at the end, hoping the underdog with Russell would pull out the W (Dallas hate) .. :lol but alas, no.

Ravens dismantling Browns ... *yawn*
Detroit > Chicago, showing Ben Johnson that not all OC make good HC .... *yawn*
Buffalo over Jets ... another yawn
NE > Miami ... looked mildly interesting. Congrats to the new NE Pats for their 1st win.
Aaron Rodgers and Steelers euphoria after week 1 got dampened real quick. AR8 will lead the Steelers to a 9-8 or 8-9 record ... if that. But for $13M/yr contract, it is what it is.

What games did you think were 'interesting' skinny?

SkinnyPupp
09-14-2025, 10:18 PM
Based on my watching today

Ravens vs Browns (I'll have the most to say about this obviously) - Browns defense is actually really good, especially on the ground. Ravens without Picard was always going to be tough (honestly I'm not sure how they handled the Bills so well), but the Brownies manhandled them and Henry couldn't move the ball. So they switched to an air attack and put a 40 burger on them by the end. I won't spam a bunch of Lamar highlights, but he made a couple amazing passes on the run. I had zero expectations for DHop, but he has been pretty amazing.

There was a point where the vibes were so bad, offense couldn't get going despite the Browns being even worse, they were only up 3-0. Guys were dropping balls, running wrong routes, Lamar overthrowing. So after a couple 3-and-outs, Dhop makes an insane catch at 0.5 yards, but the Browns then prevent the TD. Next series, Wiggins brings an interception down to around the 5 yard line, and it looks like the Browns are going to prevent another TD. 4th down Harbaugh catches the vibes and calls for them to go for it. They score and from then on the offense really started to take off, scoring 34 points (there was also a fumble return TD). This kind of thing is what makes him a great coach IMO, one of the best in the league. Love Flacco, but he was sad to watch FeelsBadMan

Giants vs Cowboys had an INSANE 4th quarter and finish, with Russ hooking Nabers up with some of the most beautiful deep passes you'll see. Tough to beat a team that has a kicker that can easily chip it in from 60+ though, especially when Russ is also prone to making bad mistakes

I caught some of the Seahawks game, where the Squealers kick returner let the ball go into the end zone.. where it stopped.. and then Seattle recovered it for a TD. All time dumb play, but it's the Steelers, what do you expect?

Afternoon games I only caught the first half of each. Chiefs going 0-2 is delicious, with Kelce dropping a TD for it to get picked. YUM YUM GIMME MORE OF THAT

Then we had the Vikings/Falcons which was... how can I put this nicely? A defensive battle? Put 2 rookies behind injured O lines, against really good defensive play callers, and this is what you get. People are calling JJ a bust already, but come on he is playing behind some walking pylons. He did look really bad at times though; flustered, rushed, tripping over his own feet, bad ball handling, bad ball placement, bad interceptions. So while it's way too soon to call it, he has a lot of work to do, to become the starter they need.

Jake Browning is a very good backup, but you want him to play maybe 2-3 games at most, not 10.

It was funny watching the game yesterday though; Burrow goes out and the line does a much better job of protecting Browning, and they end up winning. Joe plays too much on the edge for the quality of linemen they have. It's kind of why he always gets hurt. Not that I'm blaming him, it's part of what makes him great. The GM should build the team around that.

In football news, my Broncos got RIPPED THE FUCK OFF in the Indy game, holy shit I had to google what a leverage penalty even was... and even after combing through like 5 different angles of the replay I can't see what they're even talking about. What a garbage bullshit call.

Bro I support you and I would root for the Broncos over the Colts, but that was 100% a penalty. You simply cannot push the long snapper like that, it's extremely dangerous. People were coming out of there with broken necks, that's why they made the rule

https://i.imgur.com/VgOR7xq.png

And yeah, I was appalled that they did a moment of silence for that cuntbag before the Packers game - on 9/11! I was surprised to learn that most other teams did it as well on the following Sunday. Anyway, we don't need another topic on that, I just thought it was notable who didn't do it, including the good ol' Vikings

Okay that's fair, I was looking for where they boosted one of their own players up in the air, which is what I had read the penalty was for.

Yes, you can see a regression in Tua's game for the past few seasons. It's very surprising to hear that Tua had the most passing years in the 2023 season. 4624 yards.

He threw for a paltry 146 yards yesterday against the Bills. -basically telegraphed his pass that lead to a Bills interception. Tua's eyes were just focussed on one team mate before he threw the pick.

Coach Mike McDaniel is definitely in the hot seat now with his team having
an 0-3 record to start the season.

Tua also has a weak arm, you can't throw long darts which is a big problem for a guy like Tyreek, that fast fucker needs longer accurate balls.

Week 3 games that I will watch closely:

Steelers vs. Patriots. Go Pats go! Put a big hurt on the old man Rodgers! Pats defence needs to play big.

Chiefs vs. Giants. I sense another loss for Kansas City.

Monday night football game. Lions vs. Ravens. This will be a fun game to watch!

There's like 10 starting QB injuries, so a lot of backups playing this weekend

Ravens play Monday so I'll be able to sleep and watch VODs in the morning all day

I'll be looking at Rams/Eagles and then maybe Cowboys/Bears.

Then SNF, I can't see how the Chiefs don't beat the Giants.. But if they lose, wow

MNF, Lamar on Monday nights is always extra special, and this is a rare home game. Then you have Lamar vs NFC, which he has only lost twice. And we all know what happened the last time these two met up

You never know in football but this could be one of those classic Ravens primetime blowouts - I hope so at least! Lions must have learned a lot of lessons from that last game though so who knows.

Dolphins vs Bills was an entertaining, tight game. Dolphins season started out as a disaster, but I watched most of the Pats game and all of this one, and damn their offensive scheme is still so fun to watch. McDaniel is a fn genius, and if that team is stupid enough to listen to their dumb fans and fire him, he's going to be the highest paid OC in the league, leading someone like CJ Stroud or Cam Ward to a Super Bowl in a few years.

And they're stuck with Tua... Who isn't as awful as people say either, but has some glaring issues. That interception was obviously awful, but all QBs fuck up here and there. That one combined with the roughing the kicker is what cost them the potential to win that game. And what a win that would have been!

I don't know if I've raved about him here yet, but Dolphins center Aaron Brewer #55 is one of my favourite players in the league now. What a fun lineman to watch. On their first TD he blocked two linebackers at once, it was cool to see

K, anything worth mentioning? Just bigger picture stuff cuz I didn't really watch too many extended highlights and I can NEVER sit through a whole game anymore, my ADHD kicks in. Many games I just turn in on the 4th quarter.

1. Cincy is in for a long ride without Burrows. Good for AFC North as they don't have to worry about them near the top. Div title is for the Raven's taking. Minny showing their smarts in moving away from Darnold ... put up JJ McCarthy the rookie but always have an experienced QB (Wenz) in your back pocket.
2. WTH happened in Cleveland, how did GB lose to the Browns??!! Well, the answer is the D ... if you keep GB to 10, you got a good chance of getting the W. Myles Garrett 1 - Micah Parson 0 in this battle.
3. Oh my to NYJ, I heard Justin Fields might have had a concussion but I guess it is confirmed, he didn't play. This was close till the walk off FG.
4. PIT vs. NE Pats. I have no idea how Pittsburgh pulled out the W with AR8's terrible stats. Steelers will win 1, lose 1, win 1, ....
5. Is Indianapolis, the quiet dark horse? Put up 40 points today.
6. KC gets their first W vs. NYG ... Russell, hold the clipboard already.
7. Finally, the one that gave me the most joy ... Chi > Dallas. Caleb Williams had a great day, they were aggressive and going after it from the 1st play, a well deserved win for the Bears.
8. Looking forward to MNF, if both teams are on, it should be a really good game !!

CRAZY afternoon with THREE games with FOUR blocked (what would have been) game winning field goals!

The Brownies beating the Packers in EXACTLY the way I feared could happen last week. If you read my posts, you saw that.. their defense is legit, they hung around for half a game. Last week the Ravens broke the dam with (imo) some good play calling, but the Packers let them hang around long enough that they could steal the game - and they did! The same kicker who cost them the win vs the Bungles won this one for them. Good for him!

Browns will beat other good teams this way this year. They SHOULD be 2-1 right now! I wouldn't be surprised if the other Ravens game goes the other way. You know how it goes

Eagles too, where they did nothing for half a game, then took the lead after blocking a field goal with a couple minutes left, giving Matthew Stafford and the Rams a chance to win with a field goal.. well the drive was masterful, but AGAIN the field goal got blocked! There was no need to house it, but he did anyway

Jets did something similar, blocking the GWFG and housing it for a 1 score lead with 2 minutes left. Except this time the Bucs successfully made the second one. Jets another team that could be 2-1 right now, but are 0-3 instead

I also caught the Bears win over the Cowboys, where Caleb looked excellent and things are starting to click for them. I've been saying if they are going to improve, it's not going to take a couple weeks! They still have a way to go. I think Swift stinks, although he's great once he is in the open field.

Chiefs vs Giants was the shittiest game of the season so far. I don't know if it's a good idea to play Dart full time yet, but I'd go with Jameis over Russ, that's for sure.

Pats need work on their offensive line. Five sacks for the Steelers against my Pats. FeelsBadMan

Interceptions and fumbles hurt New England badly. Drake Maye, stop throwing picks and fumbling the ball!

Stevenson had two fumbles! More turnovers than a bakery now for the Patriots. Two fumbles on the Steelers 2 yard line.

This is an ongoing issue with the Pats RB Stevenson. He had 7 fumbles last season! -gotta grip the ball with both hands before a opposing player hits him. The opposing team's defence is trying hard to punch the ball out of Stevenson's hands because he's not gripping the ball with both hands and holding on to it for dear life before a player hits him.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Stevenson's ball security issues — he had seven fumbles last season — was something that came up in game preparation.
“It was, but it is every week,” Tomlin said. “We identify opportunities and certainly he had some fumble history last year and so it was an agenda of ours.”

It was interesting to see that Kelce had another heated argument with Coach Reid. They were butting heads during the game against the Giants yesterday. Andy Reid gave Kelce an earful.

Is there "BAD BLOOD" between Travis and Andy Reid? :lawl:

Really good MNF game tonight, it was back and forth for about 3.5 quarters, TD for TD, both these teams that are playing at a pretty high level in week 3. Detroit played a really solid game on both sides, Goff was on point for a couple of crucial plays, great rushing game, their D was playing pretty possessed with 7 sacks to 0 sacks for Baltimore. Tough fumble for Henry ... is this something to be concerned about? Difficult one ... Ravens have a very tough opponent schedule.

Lions defence forced fumbles and sacked and put pressure on Lamar.

Is this a fair question from Luke Wilson’s post game comments about the Ravens, SkinnyPupp?

What did he say exactly?

Without looking at "the tape" I think the Lions controlled the game at both lines. "in the trenches" as they say. If Lamar wasn't Lamar this would have been a blowout

The key to beating the Lions is to force Goff to have to make plays out of structure, and you can't do it when they're busting off runs for 5-11 yards consistently, and then run trickem dickem plays at the goal line taking Goff out of the equation. And he can still make good timing plays in structure as we saw with the two Amon Ra passes

If the Ravens can't get their defense in shape, this season could get ugly. But these are the games that get them there. They're scoring 30-40 points per game the first 3 weeks, and lost 2 of them. That is just ridiculous :fuckthatshit:

I also didn't like seeing Derrick Henry lose his mind after the fumble.. yes 3 fumbles in 3 games is absurd, but it was a great punch play by one of the best defensive players in the league. Seeing him throw his helmet around and falling down he looked like a toddler having a fit

Big annoying edit:

Since I got to read I think the point he was making

"Why have the Ravens been unable to win close games?"

I came across this "fun fact" This 8 point loss is the biggest loss Lamar has had since 2021, including playoffs. Yes there was a garbo time score, but that wouldn't have happened if Montgomery had gone down to kill the clock instead of scoring his TD (actually if Baltimore had recovered the onside kick, that TD could have been really really bad, and I doubt he makes that mistake again despite the outcome)

So anyway, I guess you could say the losses are all close games because the offense is good, and that makes it look like they lose more close games than other teams. Scoring 30 points in a game where the other team had two 95+ yard drives, how often does that happen? Most teams that let that happen are probably not going to be within 1 score by the end.

But still, game changing plays happen, like Henry's fumbles in both this and the Bills game (both great punch plays btw). They shouldn't have to rely on scoring 40 points a game to win. Defense needs to figure their shit out. And hang onto the ball Derrick!

Broncos having to deal with the ascension of the Chargers and the Colts is pretty much just as tough as facing the Bills and Lions. We're still not sure if the Colts will be for real by the time the playoffs come, but as of week 3, they are just as good as any of these teams! They have only punted once all season!

But then you get to play NFC East and AFC South, and their AFC East matchup is the Jets and AFC North match is the Bungles. Just hope they don't fuck around and let the Raiders steal a game

Bungles game next week, a very winnable game. Good luck!

What Luke Wilson said in the post-game comments about the Ravens was that in games when the score is close between two teams, such as the game on Monday between the Ravens and Lions, the Ravens make some mistakes in execution. For example, a fumble.

Is it just the Ravens make mistakes in crucial moments of a close game or is it also the opposing team just executing on defence and making the big play to put pressure Lamar or sack him? :considered:

Fun divisional game for TNF, which got wild near the end as the Cardinals offense randomly came to life after their defense kept them in it. Teams with dominant defense - especially run defense - are so good at stealing games away! I wish Calais came back to Baltimore

Seattle is great fun to watch, especially if you're a fan of heavy personnel, run blocking with some bombs thrown in. I noticed this one right away on their first drive.. I point it out here, because I will be keeping an eye on games to see if anyone steals it. Any team that runs a lot of 2 TEs will be interested:

https://i.imgur.com/oybCqHN.png

Quad bunch formation up top with empty backfield. They have RB, WR, TE, TE, and then the LG pulled out to help block. That is a HEAVY screen, and K9 gained like 20ish yards on this play. AZ didn't stand a chance on this play

ANYWAY there's some fun games to keep an eye on this weekend:

Vikings @ Steelers - Not super interested in this game, but it's a rare prime time game for me (starts at 9:30pm for me since it's in Ireland) so I get to watch one extra game live this week

Eagles @ Buccs - Are the Buccs for real? They usually play the Eagles well, so this is a big game

Colts @ Rams - Are the Colts for real? The offense looks perfectly designed and Danny Dimes and Jonathan Taylor are playing it in structure. I consider the Rams a true top 5 team, so let's go

Titoons @ Texans - Are the Texans a total bust this season? Titoons should be an easy win, so if they lose here, it's tough. That being said, divisional games are always weird

Chargers @ GAINTS - Dart's first Start will be interesting to watch

Brownies @ Lions - Browns have an elite defense, will they steal another game from a top NFC team?

Packers @ Cowboys - Micah back in Dallas is kind of a perfect SNF story that they will talk about non stop driving us crazy as the Packers blow the brakes off the Cowboys

Ravens @ Chiefs - This is a game to watch, I guess

Dallas’s defence is stepping up their game.

Forced fumble on Jordan Love.

Good question from this game’s analysts.

Is George Pickens a future no. 1 wide receiver? -described as an understudy to CeeDee Lamb now. Pickens is a free agent at the end of the season.

Pickens is a diva ... but maybe on contract extension year, he will behave but you just wait, the Antonio Brown personality will emerge once a contract is in place.

Really bummer to see all the Ravens top players go down to injury, never want to see a Lamar having to leave a game or stand on the sidelines. I'm shocked as Skinny that they are 1-3 ... I know it's a tough first 4 games but Ravens should be at least 2-2.

Min needs JJ back ... Carson Wenz is Carson Wenz. I pumped his tires a week ago with a W vs. Cincy but it was without Burrows, Wenz just not good enough.

Pasta is happy with a NE win.

Out in Cleveland, I wonder if it is time to give some of the other QB's a chance, Flacco is just too Flacco. Dillon Gabriel time? Shadeur time?

Indy first loss, when everyone was wondering if they are the dark horse, they still might but LARams holding their own.

Just looking at boxscore for NYG vs. LA Chargers ... how the hell did Giants win with those numbers/stats? But that Dart kid was involved in 2 TD's ... one run and one throw so I guess he got it done.

Is Philly and Buffalo the only 2 remaining undefeated teams?

Yah, good duel going on at SNF ... thought Packers would walk all over them but it's really back and forth! Should be a good finish.

Ravens @ Chiefs - This is a game to watch, I guess

So to answer these questions

Vikings @ Steelers - As usual the Steelers benefitted from improbable turnovers on defense, and on top of that somehow got peak DK for this one game. Vikings need a QB

Eagles @ Buccs - I think the Bucs will win the division, but I don't know if they are a legit contender.

Colts @ Rams - Colts lost too, but yes, they are for real. And so are the Rams, as a top contender in NFC

Titoons @ Texans - Well they shut out the Titoons. Congrats?

Chargers @ GAINTS - Dart looked composed like he was in his second or third season, not his first start. Great game for the GAINTS, except they lose Nabers for the year which truly sucks

Brownies @ Lions - Brownies did not steal this, but if they had a QB there might have been a chance

Packers @ Cowboys - SNF drove us all crazy with the Micah talk to start the game. But this was an excellent back and forth SNF classic. Dak is quietly having an MVP level season while other parts of the team get more attention

Ravens @ Chiefs - This one has Ravens fans losing their mind, wanting to chop off the coach's heads. Somehow they don't notice how ravaged by injuries this team is. They stopped the Chiefs a few times and forced field goals, so I think this SHOULD have been a closer game obviously. I just hope they get healthy and win some games

There's been chatter that Lamar got hurt in the Bills game, as he had to sit out with leg "cramps" preventing them from going for it on a 4th & 3 to win the game, which they normally would do. He didn't have any designed runs vs the Browns and we all saw what happened vs the Lions and today. Something weird is going on. Meanwhile the rest of the team has fallen apart. I have never seen such a disastrous game when it comes to top player injuries

Lamar out 2-3 weeks. I swear he tried to work through it but it got worse. That 11 yard 3rd down scramble just didn't look smooth. We'll never know I guess. Also out for those games are Marlon Humphrey and Roquan Smith. And of course everyone else who is already injured, including Madabuike who is just below Lamar and Henry as guys you just can't lose. He's out for the season, possibly career

Really good TNF game tonight between San Fran 49'ers and LA Rams. Pasta, you should be happy with Mac Jones' performance, both QBs were pretty spot on, moving the ball when needed with some really tight passes. SF's defence really came through at crucial times. Stoppage to end game for the W. At end of regulation, punched the ball out for a fumble with a minute left. Kudos to LA Rams for marching down and getting that FG to send it into OT. Overall, a good back and forth between two 3-1 teams.

Yes it was a very fun game, with a fascinating back and forth between two genius coaches, with Shanny taking a quick 2 score lead first, Rams defense adjusting, and then Shanahan adjusted to that. He also had an issue with his squad of 2nd stringers fucking up with his complicated pre snap offense, and had to dumb it down for them. After getting an illegal formation penalty immediately followed by calling timeout as they were about to get another, the offense would mostly only have one shift and occasionally a motion.

On top of all that, Mac is hobbling around on one leg, and they still won. A lot of it came down to bad mistakes by the Rams like dropped passes, fumbles, special teams plays, but that's how it goes sometimes. Everyone expected a slaughter fest, but I said elsewhere before the game: It's a divisional game AND it's Thursday night - it's going to be a weird, close game.

First bye weekend, and not a lot of spectacular matchups. Good luck to Dirty Dillon Gabriel starting in London vs Flores defense.

Broncos @ Eagles is an interesting one.. Will the Eagles steal another game? They're a weird team that could usually justify being undefeated, but they haven't exactly been playing great on offense, and have stolen games with crazy special teams and defensive plays. Kind of like the Jags and Steelers this year (Jags should be undefeated as well)

Bucs @ Seahawks another good NFC battle. Seahawks have to start winning at home again, this is annoying

Pats @ Bills Sunday night, I hate how the Bills always get prime time games at home. Could be a tight divisional game. Bills defense still sucks, so let's see if Drake can take advantage of that. Saints almost stole one, but you have to finish in the end zone

Chiefs @ Jags, FINALLY the Chiefs get a prime time game on the road! Bills next please! Another spicy game, because when the Jags offense is clicking, they are VERY good. Problem is that only happens about 20% of the time. The rest of the time, the receivers are dropping perfect passes, or Trevor is missing open receivers by miles. If they can get on the same page consistently, look out

Lamar officially ruled out for the Texans game. Cooper Rush won some games for the Cowboys when Dak was out, will he steal one here? Texans have THE TWO best DEs in the game, so the tackles will be tested, and they need to have a TE chipping on every down. Should be a run heavy game. I wish Ricard was back.

Will the Ravens look like the Bungles without their starting QB, or more like the 49ers without theirs?

^ pretty well called all the results for today. Bravo.

Congrats to Pats for defeating the Bills ... no more undefeated teams. Pats looked good ... are they peaking? Diggs playing possessed. Drake Maye had a coming of age game.

TB vs. SEA was a really good finish ... tough loss for the Seahawks.

BAL - yah, was looking to see more from Cooper Rush, making the game respectable or closer. Steelers gained a game on rest of AFC North without playing a game.

I caught the Vikings/Browns game which was pretty fun. Dirty Dillon looks ready to start his career, calm and under control unlike McCarthy. I don't know if he's "the guy" but he's an upgrade over Flacco for sure. The rest of their rookie class looks very good, which is annoying.

I went to bed at halftime for the Ravens game, as it was just as bad as I expected. Texans were an angry team that had been bullied by the Ravens for the better part of a decade, especially in the playoffs, so they came in wanting to make a statement in what became their first win in Baltimore in 9 attempts. I laughed out loud when they went for it on 4th down in their own territory while up by 30+. They REALLY wanted that 40 burger. Dude even did the Ray Lewis dance... Got to love the hatred and pettiness, especially from an otherwise irrelevant team.

Bills/Pats started sloppy but Diggs and Maye had an insane game, and Allen had a typical Allen game but without the fluky connections this time, and a bad INT. SNF is such an obnoxious broadcast, I am so glad when their teams lose.

Watching Seattle vs TB now, going into halftime

Edit: That was a fun shootout. Too bad about the deflection right into the LB's hands at the end though. I guess that's why you kick the extra point if you're TB. Sometimes you just want to set things up for luck to go your way

It was a ridiculous play after a ridiculous drive where Trevor will make 2 or 3 amazing plays, and then shit his pants and take a sack instead of throwing the ball away

Chiefs were spotted 2 TDs on non calls (including picking up flags) and still lost. TBH after the second one (the non DPI call on the pick at the Jags 20) I really lost interest in the game. But the Jags played really well, were able to keep up and finish them in the end! And held on, preventing a Mahomes comeback with under a minute left, something that is seemingly impossible to do.

So an up and down game for this somewhat Jags fan

Chiefs 2-3, Ravens 1-4, Bengals 2-3 (somehow), season has been surprising for favorites doing badly

Yup the guy who helped rejuvenate Baker's career as OC, and was OC for the Rams before that, for their Superbowl

Ravens also cut bait on Odafe Oweh, trading him to the Chargers for a Safety which will allow Hamilton to move back to the Star position where he can use his freakish tools properly. It also clears up like $7 million of cap space so I don't think they're finished trying to salvage this season.

They also signed CJGJ to the practice squad... Dude can play but is such a headcase that he can't stay on a team. So that will be fun

A good recap for those who don't follow CFB closely

Who knew Bill Belichick would be a disaster at UNC? Anyone paying attention. (https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/10/08/bill-belichick-unc-disaster/)

Tar Heels boosters intent on making a splash hired the eight-time Super Bowl winner to lead their program. An actual college football coach would have made more sense.

Here's an even better article from local media

Divided locker room, disastrous results: Players, parents blame Belichick culture for UNC problems (https://www.wral.com/sports/belichick-coach-culture-chaos-oct-2025/)

Multiple sources with knowledge of the inner workings of Bill Belichick's program say that UNC football's losses are a product of a divided locker room, a disorganized coaching staff and a failure to communicate.

I watched 3 games so far

Jets vs Broncos was legitimately one of the worst NFL games I ever watched. Jets are a completely unserious team from the start, signing Justin Fields as their starter tells you that. And with a new coach, you don't expect the new system to be up and running immediately. But this is a total disaster so far. I don't even know what to think of the Broncos here. Maybe just a weird Europe game

I watched the 40 minute version of the Ravens game, and it actually wasn't a complete disaster defensively this time. They kept the high power Rams down to 17 points, and even created turnovers. And Henry was running wild. Problem is the backup may be even worse than Browning, even though he looked competent on the Cowboys

Lions vs Chiefs was entertaining, and the Chiefs are the Chiefs. Once the Lions are forced to rely on Goff's dropback game, they are basically toast. 2 score lead is plenty.

Their O/U was 9.5 or 10.5 before the season started.. So that's 6 or 7 losses total. I'm of the mind that it doesn't matter when the losses come, because so much of it is based on circumstances like injuries, opponents, etc.

In the end all that matters is winning enough to get into the playoffs and have everyone healthy and playing well enough at that time to go on a run.

Anyway, I was mostly unspoiled for today's games, so I chose to watch Panthers vs Cowboys. Turned out to be a great choice! There were a few moments of unseriousness, but I like what they're doing now, building around Bryce

whitev70r

Just watched highlights of Cowboys vs. Panthers, pretty fun game of back and forth. Do the Panthers have a stud in running back? Pickens can be quite electric, personality/character aside, his after catch yardage is something special for a receiver. Too bad all that came with a L. I realize this is play for contract year but let's see when the Diva personality comes out, it eventually will with a few more L's.

Watched a little bit of the Det vs. KC ... not as close as I thought or wanted. Turned out to be a tad of a yawner. Same with SF and TB, was expecting a close game there too but didn't turn out that way.

Mayes out at NE is really coming to his own, signs of maturity, good future ahead.

Ravens ... don't know how their backups can be that bad, I mean Cooper Rush seemed like a good bet as backup but why is he so terrible? What if Ravens would have kept Flacco as backup, could they eek out a win here or there while Lamar is injured? Now Cincy hopes Flacco can be Steelers killer next week. Can Ravens catch up, I think so, so far it's just 3 games difference, when they do play Steelers and if they can win, those head to head W's will be counted for tie breakers. Lots of weeks left.

That was one of the craziest quarters of football I've ever seen. Maybe the craziest!

I watched about half of the Rams blowing out the Jaguars but I was really tired after travel, and the game sucked anyway. I think Trevor Lawrence's main issue at QB is that he's literally a dumb jock. He's just stupid!

Didn't watch anything live this week (again, too tired!) but was unspoiled so started with Panthers at Jets. I like the Panthers as a rebuilding team to follow, since I think Bryce Young is a great point guard type QB and fun to watch. They have a long way to go, but they're on a 4 game win streak now. Jets stink. Hiring Justin Fields was proof that they had no intention of winning any games this season.

Dolphins got blown out by the Brownies of all teams, which had most people expecting a coach firing but nope, not yet. This game sucked too so I switched

Switched to the Cowboys blowing out the Commandos. I think Dak is the MVP so far this year

And capped it off with the 49ers winning, which sucked.

Kind of a shitty NFL weekend, aside from the Broncos comeback. Hope today's games are better

Finally got to finish the Seattle game which took forever. Some pretty sloppy play by the offense, but as I've been saying, Mike Macdonald would have this defense fucking flying by year 2, and that's what they're doing. They gave up 4 turnovers but still kept the Texans in check.

This is more like a Ravens defense than classic Seahawks Legion of Boom, but still fun as hell to watch. I guarantee Macdonald will draft or trade for a versatile Star/Nickel type player similar to Budda Baker or Kyle Hamilton

I never bought into the Bucs as a top team despite the record, since most of their wins were these crazy last minute low percentage drives, and yeah... Jahmar Gibbs is an insane player, and if the Lions can stay at least 1 score up, they just keep handing the ball to him to take over games. If they have to rely on Jared Goof to drop back, they stall out.

I feel really bad for Mike Evans. You all know he's been one of my favourite non Ravens forever. This will be his first time not hitting 1000 yards Sadge

Some notables for the week (so far):

1. Pats are for real ... we have a happy Pasta. They seem to be firing on all cylinders.

2. Broncos are for real ... is the Sean Payton trade finally starting to make a return for the investment?

3. NYJ gets their 1st win ... over Flacco and the Bengals.

4. Ravens get back on the W column. From boxscore, it looked like an easy win. Was there a bit of 'gamesmanship' on the Ravens? Said Lamar was limited, had the Bears prepping for Lamar, then on Sat, said he was out. NFL investigating - https://frontofficesports.com/lamar-jacksons-practice-status-flip-sparks-nfl-investigation/ - Baltimore could be disciplined for initially listing Jackson as a full participant in Friday’s practice and then, on Saturday, downgrading his game status to out while also retroactively changing his Friday practice status to limited.

SkinnyPupp
10-26-2025, 08:18 PM
Ravens looked like the Ravens again for the first time since the Bills game. And they were led on offense by SNOOP HUNTLEY! I swear the team drills hand catches like crazy these days, after top WRs dropping for most of Lamar's early career, and it sure paid off here with Snoop's "good enough" throws being caught. I had a feeling it would be worth staying up to watch even with Lamar out. This was the true 'make or break' game and now they control their own destiny at 2-5. I don't know if this is a 12-5 team at this point, but I'm into watching them try. Run blocking has to improve; Ricard barely took any snaps in his first game of the season.

I don't understand the practice designation thing... If they were saying Lamar was out all week and then he played, then I see an argument for shenanigans. They did it the other way though, clearly by accident, and I don't understand what the advantage would be. Like if you game planned for Lamar, it will probably be the same plan for Snoop, except even simpler. Bears (fans and media anyway) seem to be looking for excuses here, but maybe it's technically a rule break who knows. With all the gambling stuff going on, the league is probably going to be super harsh on it.

I then caught the end of the JETS game beating the Bengals as they BUNGLE a huge lead to lose the game at the end

The Brownies BUNGLED a career Myles Garrett 5 sack game to lose their game

And then the Squealers BUNGLED a 9 point lead at half, as they continue to predictably fall apart as soon as the schedule started to get tough

Good day of games! SeemsGood

3-5 baby! :awwyeah:

Lamar looks to be in full form in the pocket, but his one run looked slow. I am way more concerned about Patrick Ricard who got fucking dump trucked constantly in this game. He might be like 40-50% back, and I hope he can get into form because their run game relies on him heavily.

Defense with 3 takeaways and holding the Dolphins to 6 was nice, but some of the credit has to go to the Dolphins just sucking. Still, defense has to make the plays, and they did. Still some moves to be made, and EDC is probably on the phone before this game even ended

"Boring" game but I was rocking a chub the whole time. Just wish we got another Jackson Five

Thing is the Colts season has been easy up until now, with the Steelers the first real test. And holy shit did they fail! Steelers completely changed their defense coverage for this game, so they were basically unscouted and forced 5 turnovers from the Colts offense (and 1 on special teams). They still only won by 1 score, and I wouldn't expect this to catch other teams by surprise. But that sucked for me

I was also watching the Panthers, another pet team of mine, as I like to follow shitty teams that I think have potential with a great QB. They beat the Packers in a windy cold game with Rico Dowdle having another great game. It's crazy, he has these two 200 yard games while Hubbard is out, so when Hubbard comes back they split reps. Coach gets questioned on it, says yeah that didn't work, this guy is better than our expensive franchise guy, and he'll take over again. Boom another W

Next was the Bengals, with Flacco having another all time great game, and they BUNGLE it. That team is just broken.

Bills did a great job of getting to Mahomes all game, kept him down to like 50% completion rate and beat the Chiefs in a regular season game, as they always do. They are like 5-1 now, but 0-4 against them in the playoffs.

Then the Seahawks blowout, which I called before the game. Commandos defense is just old and beat up, and Darnold had nearly a perfect game picking them apart. Couldn't feel worse for Jayden Daniels though, that was a gruesome injury. Still no report yet that I have seen, so who knows how long he'll be out. At least it was his non throwing arm.

Arizona holds Cowboys offense scoreless in the first half, great showing by them. Jake Brisket making it look like Kyler is the bust, rather than Marvin Harrison Jr

Brisset contract $6.5M/yr
Prescott contract AVG $60M/yr

Jets in sell mode at the trade deadline, picking up three first round picks total for Quinnen Williams (Cowboys) and Sauce Gardner (Colts). They tried but couldn't move Breece Hall

Seattle gets Rasheed Shaheed from the Saints, great great pickup.

Ravens got Dre'Mont Jones yesterday, for a 5th that turns into a 4th if they make the playoffs. Have to think they'd make bigger moves if their record was better.

This is a good trade for the Colts. They got the Sauce now. :lawl:

So... who would have thought 10 weeks into the season the Broncos... and, pending tomorrow's games, the Colts and Patriots possibly... could all be tied for the best record in the league at 8-2 on the season? hahahaha

A bit of a ho hum week for me ...
1. Mia > Buffalo ... any given Sunday.
2. BAL ... might just run the table from 1-5 position.
3. NYJ > Cleveland Browns with Justin Fields throwing a total of 54 yrds with one play that went 42 yrds. He had 5 more completions on the stat sheet that made up the rest of the passing yards, 12 yrds and they got the W. Is there a way to give both teams a L?
4. NE > TB, didn't see highlights but looks like the only interesting game this weekend.
5. SEA, LAR, DET all put up more than 40 pts.
6. Sunday night game ... great game for the Chargers fans in the stadium as Steelers looked inept. It's week 10 which is about the time in the season when the clock strikes midnight for Rodgers and he starts to show his age. He embodies the phrase, 'it's all downhill from here.' Tomlin first 'losing season' coming.

Another Ravens win while the Browns and Squealers bungle their games! I only wish the Bungles weren't on bye so they could lose too KEKW

This was a great game for the defense, as the Vikings defense also had an incredible game making it tough. Also Andrews, Likely, and Bateman all had drops which would have led to scores, so that problem has flared up again a bit. I was pretty nervous when the refs decided to make bullshit calls to facilitate a comeback, including a fake DPI when the ball was on the ground 10 feet behind the players, and turning back an INT that was in no way "clear an obvious" against the call. But the Vikings had massive problems with false starts, getting called 8 times, including one on the QB which I don't know if I've ever seen before.

I went to bed after the first half of the afternoon games, since they weren't competitive. Woke up in time for the Squealers to get their ass beat by the West Coast Ravens. It was a glorious game but that garbage time TD killed my boner. Chargers winning by 3 scores is basically a blowout.

First one to go was Callahan for the Titoons but yeah, the GAINTS are tired of seeing their future get checked for a concussion every single game KEKW
