I wouldn't be surprised, of course I hope it's a redemption game but I know the Hawks are just a better team with more experience and the Vikings are probably 2 years out from making a real run. Like I said, the Vikes would have to play out if there minds to beat the them right now but at least it's in Minnesota. I hope it's -20 or worse on Sunday in Minny.

Viking should lose yesterday game & play GB again next week.
But they want the NFC North title so bad.
Placing bet for Seahawk in Superbowl appearance this year.
They are playing best football right now.
Think about betting on KC as well.
I don't know guys.
Pretty sure the Vikings want to make a show of it after the absolute train wreck of the last outing versus the Sea Hawks.
Plus it'll be a cold game. Not sure how much stock you put into this but the Hawks are 0-3 in cold weather and do not fend too well in early games.
I'd bet the Vikings to cover.
H.Specter

Hawks front seven will be able to shut down AP.
Vikings don't have any threat in the air - unless you consider Kyle Rudolph and he doesn't stand up to how LOB has been playing.
quasi
01-08-2016, 02:29 PM
Stefon Diggs isn't bad, second most receiving yards for a rookie this year behind Amari Cooper. It's to bad Mike Wallace didn't fit into the Vikings plan because the Vikes probably have one of the fastest receiving cores in the NFL.
I don't expect a Vikings win but I'm damm sure hoping for one. I don't know how this cold is going to effect either team but I'm hoping it somehow benefits the Vikings.

Not worried about diggs, his production has fallen since Teddy two gloves has been failing to push the ball downfield through the air. I don't see that changing against the Hawks this week.

I don't even know what to say, I've never seen self-destruction like that before. They had the game in the bag twice in the last two minutes and let it go. It used to be funny everytime the Bengles would blow it come playoffs but I feel a little bit bad for them to have it in the bag and just give it away like that.
Oh well, on to tomorrow. Go Vikes?

As bad as the Bengals were, notice that the Steelers coaches were involved twice in this game. I still don't get what pacman was flagged for... He didn't touch that coach, who by the way should be fined and suspended for going on the field in the middle of a game.
This isn't the first time either, as you may recall Tomlin stepping on the field tripping Jacoby Jones on a kick return... How fucked up is this team? Burfict is a goon and should probably be suspended for a whole season, but the Steelers as an organization aren't much better.
Also how was that Shazier hit not a spearing penalty? He used the crown of his helmet as the main hitting object, directly to the fucking head. That was just as bad as Burfict's hit, and wasn't even penalized.

Burfict suspended 3 games, well deserved. I have no idea how Joey Porter wasn't flagged as well on that play, he's a coach on the field trying to engage opposing players, but not that surprised since Porter was a pretty dirty player when he played and who can forget him being a idiot fighting Levi Jones and others in a Vegas casino.
So glad Walsh missed that kick, I was already going through scenarios how Wilson would be able to move the ball down field with the time left, guess a combination of the pressure, laces in and harder football in extreme cold got the best of Walsh. Can't wait till next Sunday now, should be a great game between Seahawks and Panthers.
Great sports weekend, NFL playoffs starting, Ovie scores #500 and now NCAA Championship game. Roll Tide! well at least go Bama -6.5 haha.

I'd like to see Clemson win this one. Too many times the polls have favored Alabama despite other teams playing tougher schedules, and the bias towards their conference has me cheering anyone but 'Bama. Too much hokey crap going on that should have ranked them lower based on their loss when there were still undefeated teams earlier in the season.

01-11-2016, 04:33 PM
I went with Bama because I think their defense is just too deep and talented, way better athletes too. Clemson's 2 key defensive guys in Lawson and Alexander are also pretty banged up, although I don't have much faith in Coker as a QB, I think Ridley, Howard and Henry should be enough a handful for a banged up Clemson D with Bama's D being able to wear down Clemson's oline and keep Watson somewhat in check. Either way, should be a great game!

What an amazing game between Bama and Clemson. Howard and Bama's special teams came up huge. Bama's front 7 D rotation really was able to stuff Clemson's traditional run game and keep their RB bottled up, they just couldn't stop the QB option and rush. So close to hitting on Bama -6.5, up 12 points with 12 seconds left, haha what a pointless backdoor cover. Was only pending Bama -6.5 to finish off a 5 pick parlay after going 4/4 on NFL wildcard picks, oh well.
Opinions on KC @ NE? I know Maclin is questionable but +5 for a team that hasn't lost a game in almost 3 months?
My initial lean is KC +5, I actually locked in 1 ticket already with KC +5.5 when lines opened. My thinking is that Pats oline is way too banged up and will cause issues for giving Brady time and Pats banged up running game with a 2 weeks back into the NFL Steven Jackson at the helm. Wouldn't surprise me to see Pats win, but with all the issues they have been having last few weeks with injuries and against a red hot KC team with great D, I'm leaning towards the points.

Well, Vikings did cover and Bama won so I did alright there.
I'm liking the points on KC and Broncos.

No brainer, they were so deep in the Carolina zone and up by I think 10 at the time? You're having trouble moving the ball on offense, if you get the first you have a great shot at 7. Even if they didn't get it they had Carolina backed up and there Defense was playing lights out. It didn't matter as the holding negated it but it's honestly an easy decision IMO.

Great game by Miller and the Denver front 7. I had a $50 bet on Panthers SB win from week 16 that would have paid out $310, but I'm happier Denver won just because I don't like Cam. Placed a bet on Von Miller being SB MVP that cashed, figured if Denver would win it would be due to D, but I thought Carolina would win, glad I was wrong.
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/cam-newton-goes-from-superman-to-incredible-sulk-in-poor-postgame-showing-070021525.html
Cam is such a bitch, this is exactly why people don't like you Cam, not because you are black as you seem to think and go playing the race card. Acting like an arrogant, self-entitled clown, show boating non-stop, posing for group selfies on the sideline while the game is still going on, but the minute things don't go your way you either throw tantrums or act like a moody little brat, no class. This losing with no class, poor loser, sulking, selfish attitude is how he has been his whole career before his team had some success this year, going back to his Auburn days.
i1vBEbmn7Ue
Unbelievable he bitched out of trying to recover his fumble when his team still had a shot only being down 6 points, who does that and in the Superbowl too  No heart and scared, this is the same Cam we all saw before this season, even back when he self admittedly quit baseball as a teen because he was scared of getting hit by the baseball in the batters box haha.

This is the same Newton who is the league MVP? The brotha has no heart to face adversity. No heart!
Deion Sanders was 100% correct in criticizing Newton for leaving the post game conference abruptly. What a douche for not being able to face defeat.
I know, he lost the Superbowl. How can he act like a professional in such a terrible emotional state?
It's too bad for him. When the Panthers win, he does that stupid Superman dance and "dabbing". When the team loses the biggest game of the season, he cannot face the media.
Boo hoo! True leaders rise up and use this defeat to be extra motivated to work even harder and lift up their team mates.
The entire team is looking for Newton for leadership and this clown sulks and acts like a baby.
Hopefully, this 26 year old crybaby can learn from this and become a mature leader for the Panthers.
I laughed pretty hard when the TSN analysts interviewed Aquib Talib and asked him about Newton.

Cam Newton does this dab dance in the end zone after the Panthers score touchdowns. He dips his head down on his arm.
The brotha is entertaining, I'll give him that.

No dude, dabbing has been a hip hop dance move for some time. Cam didn't invent this move. The dance move was originally done by dancers in the southern states of the U.S. Atlanta, Georgia. Maybe Cam does that move to copy hipsters in the south? He is trying to look cool on the field? :troll:

Another NFL player retirement announcement.
Megatron is leaving the game of football after 9 seasons.
Mad respect to Calvin Johnson for what he accomplished in his career with the Lions.
Statement from Calvin Johnson (http://www.detroitlions.com/news/article-1/Statement-from-Calvin-Johnson/bb88f791-0815-42a1-9195-8786e332a224)
From Calvin Johnson:
“Let me begin by apologizing for making this announcement via a statement and not in person. While I truly respect the significance of this, those who know me best will understand and not be surprised that I choose not to have a press conference for this announcement.
“After much prayer, thought and discussion with loved ones, I have made the difficult decision to retire from the Lions and pro football. I have played my last game of football.
“Let me assure you that this was not an easy or hasty decision. As I stated, I, along with those closest to me, have put a lot of time, deliberation and prayer into this decision and I truly am at peace with it.
“I also want you to know that I have the utmost respect and admiration for the game of football. It has provided so much for me and my family and I will be forever grateful to the game.
“With the reality of my decision, I realize there are a lot of people I would like to thank. I must start with my family – thank you for all your love and support.
“I also want to especially thank Mrs. Ford and the Ford Family for all their support over the years. They are tremendous owners and I loved playing for them. I would also like to recognize Mr. Ford, who I was honored to know and play for before he passed away.
“While it would be hard to name them all, I would also like to thank all of my teammates past and present.
“I also want to thank all of my coaches who I played for, in particular Coach Caldwell for his support, wisdom and guidance over the past two seasons. I loved playing for Coach Caldwell.
“There are so many other people I would like to recognize and thank for what they have done for me throughout my career, but rather than risk forgetting someone, I will simply say “thanks” to everyone.
“And finally, to the fans of Detroit and Michigan. I so appreciated your passionate support over the years and truly enjoyed playing for you. I loved playing in Detroit and will forever be a Lion. My biggest regret is that I wasn’t able to help give our fans a championship. But I do believe the future of the Lions is bright and with the leadership from people like Rod Wood and Bob Quinn, who I have gotten to know over the past few months, I am confident that our fans will soon be rewarded with the championship you deserve.
“From the bottom of my heart I thank you all for everything.”

What an entertaining game tonight between the Patriots and Seahawks! Props to the Seattle defence for that goal line stand near the end of the game. -tough loss for my Patriots but full credit to Seattle for winning with their defence and Russell Wilson's play.
That touchdown just before half time for Seattle really hurt New England.

It's funny that the Pats made arguably the same mistake the Hawks did in their SB game by not just running it in with Blount. I don't know why they didn't just try that 4 times.
Russell Wilson finally looks like 90% of his former self, the best he has looked since game 1. Still not there yet with the speed, but he looks WAY better now.
But yeah, awesome game, as was the Steelers Cowboys game before that.

My friends and I were having a discussion a couple weeks ago about the worst backup in the NFL, Osweiler topped our list. :) Did the Texans ever fuck up when they signed him to that deal, the biggest winner besides Brock was the Denver Broncos.
I understand they had some key injuries but the Seahawks aren't going to win anything without a premier running back and those don't grow on trees. Rawls isn't the guy, they can win some games but they aren't winning any more superbowls with him carrying the rock.

It will be a close game but I can't bet against my Vikings. Falcons should beat Philly, IMO Philly isn't even the 3rd best team in the NFC with or without Wentz. They took advantage of a cupcake schedules (they don't make it so props for doing what they had to do) but with or without Wentz they aren't nearly as good as there schedule would lead you to believe.
Falcons @ Eagles
Titans @ Patriots
Jaguars @ Steelers
Saints @ Vikings
Falcons, my Patriots, Steelers and Vikings will win this weekend.
Thank goodness James Harrison plays for NE now. Coaches will just pick his brains to prepare for the Steelers' defensive schemes. :lawl:

An easier road for my Patriots to go to the Superbowl by playing the Jaguars instead of the Steelers. FeelsGoodMan
Jags QB Bortles shredded the Steelers' defensive curtain. Having said that, Jags are no match for the Pats next Sunday at Foxborough.
What an upset! Steelers didn't play their best today, especially not being able to convert on fourth down. Questionable play calls.

Ok so I've been a huge Vikings honk since the 90's.
I took my son and met a couple of my friends at Wings to watch the game. Early I was obviously confident then the 2nd half the Saints were looking so good. When The Vikings scored that go ahead FG with 1:40 left I never understood why they didn't run it on 3rd down to eat some clock and told my buddies I don't feel good about this.
Then fast forward after NO scores to take the lead 10 seconds left I'm reaching in my wallet to pay the bill looking down all the sudden I catch out the corner of my eye the catch and start jumping and screaming, I pick my kid up and I'm swinging him around bad knee and all. Total disbelief I thought they were done for sure.
What an insane finish.

I know coaches and players say that it is never one play but that safety on the Saints lost the game for them. He can't be sloppy like that, he was the last one before the goal line. No other defensive player was between him and the end zone.

I was wondering if the Vikings would come out flat - you see it so many times in the Stanley Cup playoffs, where a team wins a crazy emotional game to end a series, and they just get blasted in game 1 of the next series.
Of course NFL only has one game, so they just get bounced LUL
Eagles have actually been my #3 team after Ravens and Seahawks, and I follow them pretty close, so while it was fun to watch the Vikings win that crazy game, and would have been awesome to see a home SB, I ain't even mad :D

I was rooting for the Eagles but that was a solid game all around. Beyond textbook. I thought the Eagles would start slipping from fatigue but nahhhh they pushed through all the way to the end.
The two touchdown plays from the Eagles that were reviewed were tough calls but there wasn't enough evidence to overturn the calls from the field.

As a Vikings fan Brees or Cousins is an upgrade, Brees gives them the best chance to win right now Cousins gives them an OK chance right now but obviously is much younger. I wouldn't be mad if they signed either one.
Most likely Bridgewater will be the backup and Keenum will be moving on unless they can't sign Cousins or Brees in which case they'll have to make him an offer if he's still available. I don't blame them for not franchising him, would have cost to much money and he's probably played the best season he'll ever play I'm pretty sure that was his ceiling.

Jordy Nelson to the Raiders, who drop Crabtree... That's a downgrade IMO
Crabtree would be a good fit on the Ravens, hope they can sign him

He likes to party, although he's been one of the most productive receivers ever early in his career I can see him letting shit outside football get to him and hurt his production on the field, especially because he has so much guaranteed and all those endorsements. It doesn't help that Eli isn't what he was, I hope I'm wrong because I'd like to see him keep it up but I don't see it.

Holy crap Raiders fans must be on suicide watch today. Trade away Mack because they don't want to pay him, trade a draft pick for AJ McCarron, then release Martavis Bryant who they traded a draft pick for. Gruden, what is doing bby??
