turns out honda's arent the only vehicle prone to right rear caliper seizing. the Ford just got its rear brakes done. under warranty :D

girlcrazy_420 04-26-2007 12:19 PM

Radiator packed it in. End tank has a 2" long split on it towards the top. Its holding, but barely. Going to try melting some plastic pellets with acitone and put a temporary fix on it untill I've got time to throw a new rad in.

blue92eg 04-26-2007 03:05 PM

finally finished the solid mount install...havent really tested it out yet but still get a little wheel hop...but what can u do

Tchleung 04-26-2007 06:09 PM

All mounts in? Time for diff suspension or tires :p

blue92eg 04-26-2007 07:20 PM

yeah tell me about it its got a 1.5 drop on springs already so now we can just look for some wheels

girlcrazy_420 04-27-2007 03:45 PM

Put a fuel filter into the bro's Yj, and rutland styled his rad back together so he could go out camping.

netfreak 04-28-2007 12:16 AM

managed to find plug wires and a dist cap/rotor at canadian tire that actually fits, replaced accelerator pump on the carb, kinda fixed the messed up A/F mix, adjusted dist breaker point gap, played with the timing, blah blah now it doesn't suck ass as much.

ColinK 04-28-2007 05:58 PM

threw in some honda fog lamp hole plugs that jeff insisted i put in. makes that lower bumper area look less ghetto for sure!

Smoke Show 05-02-2007 08:14 AM

put the new tranny in early this week, its got some different things with this one so hopefully she'll hold up. took me 1.5 hours install and about an hour to do fluids and check everything. overall it puts it down better than the last one.

ColinK 05-02-2007 08:30 AM

you throw a 6sp in this time?

girlcrazy_420 05-02-2007 11:39 AM

ColinK 05-02-2007 01:14 PM

ahhh! you put another 5sp or 6sp in the rex? you have a vf34 in there right?

Smoke Show 05-02-2007 01:21 PM

right now i have another broken 5 spd in there right now but its temp working, i sorta fixed it before i came down here so ashley has the car to drive. when i get home its 6spd time. yes i have a custom trimmed vf34 that was built for me.
if i could do it over i would have just bought a complete sti drivetrain and called her a day.

mannslayer 05-02-2007 01:47 PM

if your still in town you should come by and check out my project. its almost finished. complete version 7 drivetrain into gc8. full brembo, seats, everything.

Rumor has it you were stuck as hell up above peachland when that tranny blew and it was a hefty tow bill out of there. Correct? lol!

Threw in some HID's tonight, 6000k. Lots more light than OE halogen bulbs, and I've got them aimed all the way down just to be safe, may adjust them up eventually for longer beam length.

girlcrazy_420 05-02-2007 10:20 PM

Installed Lower a-arm bushings tonite. Amazing difference in handling.
