i tore the boot on the left side piston and the right side piston is a leaky mofo. my braking power is so bad even with new pads. i got so much play in the pedal. i'm dying to auto-x but i'm not gonna with bad brakes.

girlcrazy_420 06-22-2007 12:54 AM

Broke the shift pin 'thing' that slides going into the tranny and was left with only 2nd gear. Tore shit apart and replaced broken parts.

GOOD suspension is one of the most rewarding modifications you can make to any car. No matter how you are driving, it is still doing 110% of it's job. Unlike a turbo or nitrous, you only feel it when your on it.

And absolutely, Illuminas coupled with a real nice set of springs or coilovers will ride AND handle noticeable better than a tockico blue.

Slo40 06-22-2007 07:55 AM

Sent the new turbo back for another one cause this one had a bent compressor fin. Hopefully the replacement will be here tomorrow.

Excellent, that what I figured. Shocks are ordered and will be in on Sunday. Anyone want to install them for me? :)

down_hill_dog 06-22-2007 10:36 AM

How much you paying? lol and into what kind of car?

Suspension is very subjective, but in 99 out of 100 cases.. The more money you spend the happier you will be.

acrophobia 06-22-2007 11:06 AM

95 civic, and I flip the question around and ask what you charge (if you are really considering :))

You're from pen.... I can get it done for you in the shop pretty cheap.

down_hill_dog 06-22-2007 05:18 PM

DA, DC, EG, EK all SUPER easy suspension swaps, as Kyle said... Your a little too far away for me to do it for you.

RRxtar 06-23-2007 04:21 PM

simple mod

new Progrip grips on the RR. should make banging off downshifts under full braking a little easier, especially with my gimped hand.

proper rev matching is important while downshifting especially with so much forward weight shifting making the rear wheel very light under hard braking. locking the rear on a bad downshift entering a corner on hard braking is a good way to end up in the rhubarb.

i want a slipper clutch!

girlcrazy_420 06-23-2007 10:24 PM

"ride the clutch" a little more ;) ^^

Dash went up in smoke tonite and the car shut itself off. Fuze-box has a hole burnd into the middle of it.

edit: I'd REALLY like to figure out the source for the failer. Think I'm going to drop the dash and check for any other areas of stress on the harness.

Therin 06-23-2007 10:30 PM

ouch

No mom, I'm not watching bukake movies again 06-24-2007 01:38 PM

modded the charcoal gas tank filter breather thingy into the garbage.... hooray for vented gas caps... talk about over engineering. more engine bay room for... stuff.

girlcrazy_420 06-24-2007 02:12 PM

Modded a coolant catch can onto the car. Dropped the fuze box and started removal of the steering colum.

edit: So fuze box had a hole melted into it, once taken apart; about a inch radious of the coper circut board was just one melted mess. Went to replace with the parts car board, but it was also 'on its way out', so instead, I used the parts car board; but hard wired nearly everything to do with the hi/low beam ciructry therefor bypassing the board.

Once the steering columb was apart, I also noticed the harness was melted along with the turn signal/hi low beam switch. Parts car switch is nearly the same condition so it looks like Im not going to have lights/signals till a PYP run.

SaviorSelf_666 06-24-2007 06:49 PM

Put most of the interior back in, got the battery put in the sneakiest spot! Greddy 3row should be here tomorrow!

Delerious 06-24-2007 09:42 PM

modded the other head off of the engine... going in tomorrow to get some major work done for a not so major price... hopefully this will open everything up nicely, i'll post flow numbers of before and after they're done.

Slo40 06-25-2007 08:57 AM

Installed the new GT2871R and Tial 50mm BOV and raced the next day. Car runs alot faster now that the big boost leak is gone.

girlcrazy_420 06-25-2007 09:39 AM

I really aughta check for boost looks one of these days. I know for a fact the bov is leaking at the flange just because it seems like a very loose fit.

Todays mod: Really wanted to paint the brakes, but painted 'drums'... no fucking way. Looks like I'll get the interior all painted up. See if I can find some sort of rocker-guard

I wanna go for a ride! :(

Slo40 06-25-2007 03:13 PM

might be able to arrange that one of these days.

Therin 06-25-2007 03:58 PM

one night of drifting and you get:

Need new wheel bearings (not immediate, they just started to make a little bit of noise.

A new noise in the front suspension when pulling into the drive way, i;m guessing tie rod ends or something.

Fucked exhuasts, dunno but i think the hangers are breaking and/or welds cracking, get nasty noise from my exhaust line when i shift or jerk my car any.

man that rain was awesome last night. Springfield road hill ftw :)

girlcrazy_420 06-25-2007 04:56 PM

Makes me nervous because I sure enjoy my puddles
