So its all tuned except for 1st gear breaking up at WOT, but not at part throttle. All other gears are fine, so I have to figure out 1st. 32 psi feels wild, and the power comes on so smooth that the tires stay hooked up and pulls hard.

RRxtar 06-20-2008 03:58 PM

jeffh 06-20-2008 05:43 PM

I still have the fastest 1/4 slip to date ;). 1/8 mile are for kids. Nothing worse then seeing a car lift the front tires off the ground and go hurling to the 1/8th then run out of steam and basically coast the last 1/8 as I pass them.:haha:

Mod of the day: Installed new catchcan breather setup and 4 bar map sensor. Tune is all out of wack again, gotta retune it all :(

Slo40 06-21-2008 08:08 PM

girlcrazy_420 06-23-2008 11:36 PM

Built speaker-pods yesterday, and today built a fitted sealed sub box for the center console. Never been a fan of 10's but in this case I couldnt get anything else to fit.

jeffh 06-25-2008 04:35 PM

lots of mods today

the bike got new kona thin pedals. they are pimpy grey, light, and have real meaty cleat on them. also a new shimano XT rear deraileur that hopefully wont eat cable housings like nuts. then i cleaned aout 5 lbs of oily dirt out of my gears and chain.

the the teg i removed the shady rear strut bar, and put the rear seats back in

down_hill_dog 06-25-2008 06:27 PM

Stoopid RB26 decided to develop a little leak on the banjo bolt that feeds the coolant to the turbos. Couldn't get a wrench on it due to the rear turbo being right in the way. Lucky enough all I had to do was take the down pipe off and unbolt the rear turbo... cause you know thats REAL easy. Found that the copper crush washers were fucking fubar'd. All that work for two $0.79 parts.

Modded my Torque Split Controller into the dash where the clock was. F'n stupid clock LoLz. Also put in my boost selector switch. Need get some labels made up... I'm thinking 'Fast' (1 bar) and 'Faster' (1.5-1.8 bar). Oh yeah wired my wideband into the Datalogit so I can log my A/F's.

girlcrazy_420 06-30-2008 06:23 PM

re-indexed the torsion bars. Still not where I want it and didnt have the appropriate tools to remove the bump-stop perches so this is as low as it'll go for now. Now that I know how things work I'm going to order a set of 4" blocks and than i'll take it apart again.

down_hill_dog 07-01-2008 07:43 AM

Adam, you re-indexed torsion bars??? haha thats a joke. you mean stuck a fucking ratchet on them and loosened them. don't sound techincal, i've had enough of those trucks to know.

Mabye I dont know the proper term, but as far as I know I removed the bars themselves and the torsion plates, cleaned everything up, greased etc... changed the angle the spines where lined up at and than bolted everything back together to make the ride lower yet drive like its stock. Sure loosening them would've worked but I wasnt looking for a bouncy ride and figured I'd do it the "proper way" before getting an alignment.

honduhman 07-08-2008 03:52 PM

Got bad news from the machine shop, I have to bore my block.... so i am, also ordered coated flat top pistons and sent away my crank for balance and blue printing and rods for shotpeening.

girlcrazy_420 07-08-2008 10:54 PM
