edit- did some wiring today

proshoraca 03-15-2007 08:56 PM

didn't mean to create some b.s. or come across as a dink(quite out of character for me), a fair bit of b.s. on this side lately. my post was quite uncalled for.

modded a hefty box of hp to the bed-room this afternoon, hopefully into car within a month from now.

Put on a short ram intake and solved the check engine light issue. Well... the short ram caused the light and needed a hole drilled for a air sensor

mannslayer 03-16-2007 01:40 AM

john shepherd runs 7's @ 55psi in his talon with a 3.5" exhaust...

tony rigoli runs 7's @ 60psi in his wrx with a 3.5" exhaust as well...

don't think anyone here needs anything bigger than 3.5"

:)

proshoraca 03-16-2007 01:37 PM

The intake piping out front of the car was a gift a few years back from my bro so I just stuck it on the way I recieved it. I left it as is since I liked the look of it. As for weight im not too concerned about that, but for functionality you do bring up a good point. I'm going to leave it for now since im moving to a map sensor setup. I'm thinking it could help smooth the readings that the map sensor grabs with my higher lift cam. I'll probabaly do some experimenting come summer time when the rest of the car is together though. I'm sure ill notice a huge change in throttle response without that AFM in there already.

AzN_ignite 03-16-2007 06:09 PM

hey Darren the new intake setup looks good!

Mod of the day:

Installed my old 750's. Now it doesn't lean out from max injector duty cycle lmao... Time to order those 1600's for the Teg I spose...

13bt 03-16-2007 10:01 PM

what pumps you running tom

Tchleung 03-16-2007 10:03 PM

right now I got single walbro 255. thinknig of gonig dual walbros. Don't want to goto external pump. the teg isn't on the road yet, it's my other car that was running out of injector, which also has 255lph

13bt 03-16-2007 10:19 PM

044 bosch works well

zumvette 03-16-2007 10:20 PM

big trucks make 600+hp and 2000+ft/lbs stock, yes. and many turned up over that to. u have to remember that motors making that power are also 10+Liters so a 5" dual exhaust is necessary. motors making 60psi boost are generally a cummins or a twin turbo cat.

on topic tho, replaced my pcv valve wow noticing a much nicer idle.

Lindz_Si 03-17-2007 01:39 AM

zumbo are ya drivin the s-10 w/ new engine yet? and when are u down here(kelowna) again..need to bull-taunt some more hondas haha. havent talked to ya in a while i hear brad's with some gal holy chit mang!
oya this is marshall btw

didn't really mod anything, adjusted p.o.s. clutch.

alpinaracerX 03-17-2007 11:17 AM

got my new m5 clutch and crap installed... but turns out i only fixed half the problem when i drained the fluid out of the diff and to my surprise it had metal flakes in it and chunks of the clutch packs... so much for my lsd! got a nice 3.91 LSD on order tho!!!!!

ColinK 03-17-2007 11:54 AM

^ what are you driving?

proshoraca 03-17-2007 05:18 PM

And you don't think I know this? I sell parts for ISX's and C-15's in an International dealership daily :p 5" exhaust for a big truck, yes. For a small car, no.

down_hill_dog 03-17-2007 06:42 PM

Put a 3.3k ohm resistor in place of the IAT to trick the computer into thinking its warmer than it really is. Dont know if it'll do anything, but worth a try.

13bt 03-17-2007 11:10 PM

started tigin the cage..

down_hill_dog 03-18-2007 02:36 AM

girlcrazy_420 03-18-2007 08:17 PM

un-modded the 3.5ohm resistor. Ran too fucking rich and could hardly breath with all the fucking emissions.
