Nice, what's the specs on the turbo?

Delerious 07-30-2007 09:52 PM

gt3571 from a new holland ford tractor.. journal bearing GT wheel. .94 a/r turbine housing, that's about all i know about it...

edit, here's a picture that better represents the colours on the engine... that crank pulley doesn't stick out QUITE as bad in real life as it does in pics with the flash... don't mind the fram filter

that makes two of us, making sure I can use the full potential of each mod before making another.

After 5? years of autocrossing, i'm at the point with this car where i'm still needing to mod a better driver behind the wheel before doing much more modding to the car.

I mod my car for fun and want to go do track days once i get some stuff fixed and some time off...and to make it a very reliable/fun daily driver...and thats my idea really...you guys do it for autocross...i dont wanna go drive around cones 1 minute a a time for 8 hours and only get to do 4 runs...thats ur choice..i do what i want...

down_hill_dog 07-31-2007 11:16 AM

It's all money.. The more you pay the more you play. trackday vs autocross.

in those 4 minutes we take 10 times as many corners as you would for any trackday. thats how i look at it.

you should come drag race smokey next time we go to thundermountain. for all the drag bashing i do, it really is fun

lol it is on craigs bday. aug 11!!

and sweet JDM shit Greg, but honestly. To spend that much money, and not really use it to its potential is kind of a waste no matter how long you drive on the road using it.

down_hill_dog 07-31-2007 06:36 PM

yeah the next thunder race is on my birthday! w00t. that should be fun :)

I don't expect to be fast, but man that 1/8th mile bullshit sure is a blast. I get deep into 3rd in the 1/8th, and after that unless you have an 11sec car it's boring anyways.

ColinK 07-31-2007 07:28 PM

I'll be in Winterpeg :(

come to ashcroft august 18th, night drags, cool IAT's, 1/4 mile so you can go deep 4th, lower elevation, and more traction!
Plus you get to party in the pits overnight!

proshoraca 07-31-2007 08:56 PM

Zumbos meeting us in ashcroft too eh danny should be a good time. id race but i dunno what will be smoking more, my tires, my clutch, or the tail-pipes of extreme rich condition, holy mother :O

edit- I don't reccomend you bypass EGR like every backyarder does Travis, not such a good idea.

That's a pretty decent sized turbo if the wheels are the same size as most 35's. Then again you are pushing 6 cylinders. What kinda power are you lookin at makin?
