Big day on saturday. both rear calipers and a front inner tie rod. anyone wanna help?

netfreak 08-16-2007 09:20 PM

o2 sensor, pcv, and trans oil change.. lets just say i will never be changing the trans oil again. really not worth the time

Delerious 08-18-2007 06:42 PM

new rear pads on the gti (along with a new tranny)

just need some front pads and figure out the 5th gear shimmy and it'll be all good.

girlcrazy_420 08-18-2007 07:17 PM

New wires, rear wheel bearings and detailed the interior.

Slo40 08-19-2007 03:27 PM

I twisted the output shaft off at the splines when launching with too much rpm, boost, and traction. The new tranny is also stock.

haha that's a problem for sure! what'd you launch at?

girlcrazy_420 08-19-2007 10:40 PM

Oil change and tried a K&N filter and chopped air box. Didnt run very well at higher rpm's after that. Went back to stock. Spent about 7hours installing the stereo today and still only halfway 3/4 done.

girlcrazy_420 08-21-2007 08:20 PM

Installed a functional hood scoop, modified the airbox, new air filter, advanced the timing and removed the exaust heat shield while also freeing up the exaust by the removal of the catalytic and new flex pipe.

ColinK 08-21-2007 08:52 PM

on the prelude? a hood scoop?

Therin 08-21-2007 09:40 PM

so for the gain of about 2 - 3 hp you have decided to pollute the air and my ears by removing your cat..... for fuck sake.

there are fewer people on this site WITH cats than without. I can think of 7 without even having to pause, and none of our cars are noisy. As a matter of fact the sound of my blower out weighs the exhaust, and it's a cute MEOW. hah

Therin 08-22-2007 06:11 AM

yeah, but on an old lude like that...

girlcrazy_420 08-22-2007 07:49 AM

I think it looks decent. Gonna paint it flat black later on today so it dosn't stand out like a sore thumb. Noisy exaust? HA! Its so quiet the engine is twice as loud. Just freeing it up a little bit, but i'm keeping the stock muffler. Fart pipe is one more thing to give me a headache.

edit: Here it is. Too bad a operational BOV would be such a hassle :angel2:
