semi syn high RPM 5w30 ftw, I don't go thru massive amounts of oil anymore!

down_hill_dog 07-16-2007 11:52 PM

really it's helped eh? maybe the conventional was breaking down too quickly.

fiyota 07-17-2007 01:08 AM

Royal Purple 5w30! or german castrol (aka castrol syntec 0w30).

Slo40 07-17-2007 06:54 AM

I just use the good ol' Quaker 10w40 plain mineral oil.

just from that b/w pic id like to see em in gunmetal polished lip i think

racer__X__33 07-17-2007 07:46 AM

i was thinkin that...polished...or some random assed colour just for shits...the OG gunmetal and polish would at least keep it true to the original design tho which would be sweet

hopefully...if not the motors gonna come outin the winter...haha...i know there is some blow by though so it will make a tiny diff at least

proshoraca 07-19-2007 06:56 PM

no more sucking fuel thru a split diaphram'd fpr, will be a nice jump in mileage/performance.

SaviorSelf_666 07-21-2007 12:30 AM

Blew the stock diff, and destroyed the clutch.

Exedy Twin Plate & Tomei Trax 2 Way. :D

ColinK 07-21-2007 01:10 AM

Installed some Hawk HP Plus pads on the front finally. Man they brake WAY better then HPS. I feel confident I can make it for the first exit ramp at Ashcroft now... lmao

down_hill_dog 07-21-2007 01:37 PM

HAHA. good thing you have bronze wheels too, those fuckers are going to be black non stop

Tchleung 07-21-2007 01:38 PM

Haha yeah so I heard.

EDIT: Gat Dayum these pads squeel at low speeds lol. I didn't use any brake lube(I never do) so I might rip the HPS shims off and put them on the HP+ pads and use lube. I dobut it'll help cause I'm sure it's the physical pad material content that is making the squeeling.

fourtirefire 07-21-2007 03:40 PM

tried to pull out my dent and ended up cracking the paint at the deepest part, it's not going to come out too easily with the rebar right behind it. But at least the dent on a whole isn't as deep or large anymore.

I'm fed up with it, so i'm going to have to use a screw in puller to get it out, then fill low spots and repaint once this wet weather is gone so I don't get any moisture in there.

down_hill_dog 07-21-2007 03:59 PM

don't you even think of breaking through the metal, your car will turn into rustzilla

fourtirefire 07-21-2007 06:23 PM
