Haha... shit. So looks like I confused myself. Installing the pump is strait forward, drop tank, take out pump assembly, install new pump, strainer and seals and replace. Install tank and prime system. So... the pump does its little song and dance but isnt priming. I took off the new filter right after the fuel pump outlet and tried priming again. Still nothing. Now I know I've got gas in the tank, atleast $30...

If the wires on the pump are reversed, it theoretically should still pump. Correct? Anyone know? A mechanic said so... but I'm doubting that theory. The wires off the new pump where both grey, no - or +... I cut a hole in the floor just above the pump to access the wires and I will cut/swap in the daylight.

if the wires are backwards the pump will run backwards. there is only two wires? where the hell is the ground? one of the wires should look different that the other if there is only 2.

girlcrazy_420 10-16-2007 07:17 PM

Got er fixed.

underscore 10-16-2007 08:36 PM

haha nice greg (?)

Kyle and I have basically agreed that he does the research on the parts to buy and I install them. Since he doesn't actually know where most of it is.

007WRX 10-17-2007 07:56 PM

007WRX 10-17-2007 07:59 PM
