Colin, the car looks great! For your occupation, and the style of your car.. I don't think there could be a better combo!

Today I got busy and made one of my wheels turn from red to silver with polished lip. Looks better, I'll post a pic when theyre all done with new tires on them.

Now I just can't decide if I should go with a 225/50/15 or a 225/45/15 or just stick with my 205/50/15's.

007WRX 11-01-2007 04:58 PM

Sounds good. Interested to see them.

I still think you should do the centers gold though :D

down_hill_dog 11-01-2007 05:48 PM

anything of colour makes the wheel look much smaller than it actually is.

being that theyre only 15's to start with... That not exactly my desired look, especially now that it is flared.

I'd go with the 45's. It'll make the rims look bigger

jeffh 11-01-2007 08:45 PM

dont you still rub the front a little? a 225 50 15 would probably pwn you

and foxyDA9 showed me how steam cleaning happens and my car is very pretty inside :D

Only due to soft suspension in the front, but when the new setup gets here... I have a feeling 9k fronts will take care of that.

225/50's look so badass though

what kind of steam cleaning jeff? I've got a few coffee stains that will need to go in the spring.

Slo40 11-02-2007 06:55 AM

4 large round packages sitting beside my desk this morning.

ColinK 11-02-2007 08:20 AM

Slo40 11-02-2007 08:59 AM

Here's a little hint:

stretched 245/35/18's

down_hill_dog 11-02-2007 12:47 PM

I have the hugest grin on my face right now Shawn. soo badass

Delerious 11-02-2007 04:02 PM

i don't udnerstand what people like about rubber that's too thin for the rim... i think it looks terrible.

mods for show ftl, if you can fit such big rims.... why not bigger tires for the performance advantage, altho running on a wider rim does yeild more performance from that size of tire if you cant go bigger

ZeD_sQuArE 11-02-2007 07:04 PM

modded the sound deadening outta my carrrrr...and a domo kun into it! :D

edit:this is greg

Slo40 11-03-2007 10:44 AM

Got some pics. Looks like I need to lower the car just a bit more. The red doesn't show well on the pictures. It also wasn't my intension to go for the stretched look, it just turned out that way. Next set of rears will be 275's...

down_hill_dog 11-03-2007 12:38 PM

Looks good man! Needs to be on the lower-spec though. What kinda tires are you on?

zumvette 11-04-2007 04:05 PM

Friggin hell, I was changing my plugs from the coldones for my NOS to my hotter plugs, well I was making super good time changing the first 6 and #8, then on the the tough one #7, this one is hard with my headers cuz they wrap around the steering shaft, it took forever to get the plug out, somehow harder than last time, then I go to put in the hot plug and bam it falls out of my fingers and doesnt hit the ground. Now i cant find it and waiting for my spotlight to finish charging, damn headers.

netfreak 11-04-2007 05:20 PM

lol. i had to go under my damn car to replace one of the plugs as the AIR system piping was in the way.

zumvette 11-04-2007 07:08 PM

Well a buddy came over and first try looking under the truck he reached pull and bumped it and grabbed it, so all 8 hot plugs back in, feels a lil better on the bottom, could be my head. Goin to advance the timing tomo, bring it back up to 10* maybe 12* we'll see how it likes 10 first.

racer__X__33 11-07-2007 09:04 PM

modded dynamat outta my car, started cleaning up the guts a little, removed and tightened everything that was loose in the back...

and got kinda...stoned? off being stuck in a car with brakeleen, WD40 and IDX20

What size you have on there now? Personally not diggin the streched look.
And the rims are nice, i was looking at them when i was shopping....what size are they?

jeffh 11-08-2007 09:48 AM

interior back in, silencer, ready for snowww

Slo40 11-08-2007 11:55 AM

The wheels are 18 x 7.5" front, 18 x 9.5" rear. Falken sizes their tires very differently than most other manufacturers I've had. 245's should have only been a very slight stretch and hardly noticable, but instead they must be measuring the 245mm at the side wall and not the tread.
