Didnt realize the trans was such a pita to pull out on this car. Gotta remove the entire front a-frame, sway bar; etc. Picked up a new clutch, so hopefully the pyp tranny works. ALOT of work getting it in there. Atleast this gives me a reason to Get the new struts in and finish putting in the lowering kit.

Put spoiler back on, fixed driver side speaker, and driver side door (made a ting noise, instead of a thud)

girlcrazy_420 01-02-2008 09:39 AM

Think I can kill an auto? If so, it'll be my first.

blue92eg 01-02-2008 08:16 PM

yeah lol its almost easier to destroy an auto than a manual...heres a tip...put the auto in neutral and put foot to floor then grab shifter and pull to any gear u chose and hang on cusz eitehr its gonna go like shit or somethings gonna break...lol but i have seen a caravan do a sweet burnout by doing so

girlcrazy_420 01-02-2008 11:16 PM

I was actually thinking about putting the kickdown on a manual switch

38.5x11??? why so skinny?

netfreak 01-05-2008 05:38 PM

got the dynomax muffler installed. turns out I also had a huge hole in a bend right before the muffler so I pretty much just got everything done from the cat back. it is much quieter than i thought it would be :(

zumvette 01-05-2008 09:14 PM

gots a new 3" K&N air filter and some cool tube for the wires to my starter that keep arcing out on my headers. yay

zumvette 01-14-2008 01:57 PM

modded out the starter in 45min while it was snowing and cold and in the diveway, pretty good i thought considering i have to pull the crossmember and flywheel cover and move trany lines and brake lines. off to napa to try to use my 3yr warranty. lol.

Delerious 01-14-2008 04:09 PM

modded a new design into my projects folder... the starting of an intake plenum!

http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/1...mflangesv6.jpg

as you can see that's just the bottom flange... i'll be making use of some stock from rossmachineracing.com for the top of it.

zumvette 01-14-2008 05:58 PM

holy crap my hands got cold putting the starter back in. snowing+cold metal+dirty+laying in snow+cold=fun time installing a starter in a compact space

girlcrazy_420 01-17-2008 03:54 PM

Shift kit arrived, and I re-did the u-joints. also picked up inner/outer tie-rods and new bushings for the front. Another project for tomarrow.

Tchleung 01-27-2008 01:22 PM

Yup that it is. I needed something that I could take to job sites and had more room inside.

Wired up the light bar and switches:
wiring's not as bad as it looks. stock wiring keeps getting in the way...:

the wires will be strapped down to those white squares:

silliconed the cargo light shut after running the wires through:

The switch was originally on a shift knob, so I cut the wires, resoldered them and mounted the whole shebang in my dash...:

I had fun wiring the lights on the jeep. 4 lights x 150watt bulbs = 600watts and X amount of amps made me go thru 3 alternators. I had something like 180amps in lights on the Jeep. Atleast you used relays, but sure to fuck up first time you submerge the truck.
