I usually just buy the cheap socks from anywhere, lol.

I played with the float on my carb feels a slugish on the bottom now, grrr. O and some mail order parts should be on the way soon, some cosmetic stuff.

I'll stick to the question; I went to Pick N Pull and found the rare stock Si front lip for my EG. A bit scuffed, but $5 used>$180 new.

Tchleung 12-10-2007 09:13 AM

Nice! Good find. how much of the car was still there?

girlcrazy_420 12-12-2007 04:46 PM

Replaced the fuel filter, couldnt even blow through the old one. Also did pcv, set the timing, oil change, bottle of lucas etc.

blue92eg 12-14-2007 05:31 PM

slapped a new clutch cable on the winter ride and shes good to go...thanks tom that one works prefect

ColinK 12-14-2007 05:50 PM

^ oh what? you wrote off your civic? when did this happen? how do you like the rsx?

blue92eg 12-14-2007 06:41 PM

yeah old civics been gone for close to 1.5 years now...kinda sad....ohh o well and i dont think i could be happier with the rsx...moves ok for a stockish car

ColinK 12-14-2007 06:51 PM

nice man! Yea, my mom has the rsx premium. It's pretty torquey! :)

netfreak 12-15-2007 01:32 PM

MSD 8mm plug wires, new plugs while i'm at it, and new air filter. Went to canadian tire to find a filter that would fit, only found some ugly yellow ricer "thing" for $30.. Went to lordco and got a non-fruity regular one for $12.

girlcrazy_420 12-15-2007 06:52 PM

Well, the fuel pump decided to go about 100km after putting the new filter in. Mabye it wasnt used to having good pressure? Took a few hours to drop the new pump in but I'm not liking it. Its VERY loud... idea's?

Also the sprint it gone, sad to see it go but I got what I wanted for it.

Redid my stereo grounds. no more annoying buzz is a huge relief. I guess one of the previous owners had installed some sort of a stereo and the wiring was just a nightmare.

Simplicity > ratsnest.

underscore 12-18-2007 08:24 PM

shit, that reminds me to fix my stereo tomorrow.

priced out my future truck, if I bought one the way I want right now it would be $43k yikes. I just hope they keep making them for a few more years, though I could always buy used...

RRxtar 12-18-2007 11:01 PM

what kind of truck are you looking at?

underscore 12-19-2007 11:28 AM

08 Toyota Tacoma, white, 4X4 Access Cab, Manual, TRD Offroad and Towing packages, and some other goodies like floormats, bed mat, skid plate, block heater, d-rings, truck tent, and security alarm.

I figure the prices should be the same by the time I'm ready to buy one, if not, I can buy used. Might be hard to find one how I want though.

girlcrazy_420 12-22-2007 09:26 PM

Lost another tranny tonite. Shift fork broke, than jammed it into only 2nd. Laying in the snow at the wreckers is going to be a pita.

Delerious 12-24-2007 07:56 PM

how is it you manage to break so many transmissions? do you not know where the clutch pedal is?

installed a turbo timer harness and the acutal timer... pulled out the ecu and installed the eprom tuner into it... have yet to see if it still fits back into the car with it on there.

underscore 12-24-2007 09:23 PM

^ my grandpa used to be a truck and shifts without the clutch so... maybe he "hard shifts" like that guy in the 350Z...
