well that really depends on the car, my buddy's 92 talon with very minor mods runs very low 13's... stock turbo, stock intercooler and piping, stock BOV, stock injectors... you get the picture.

down_hill_dog 10-25-2004 03:00 PM

oh i'm not saying you can't make them go fast. But if you do indeed want to go really fast, bigger is better. it take 5 times the work to make a motor half as big go the same speed. yeah you can throw a turbo on your tiny ass motor, turbo the big motor, you'll get better results... i'm not blind.

Well i did have tires 2 weeks ago. but the traction problems mixed with major toe out just owns them. I'm already contemplating what tires to get next. Need some softer compound tirse. Now that I jsut bought another car(tbird wasn't cutting it no more) I don't have to worry about how streetable the teg is.

netfreak 10-27-2004 09:50 PM

-oil pressure/water temp guages
-new engine grounds
-fix heater

down_hill_dog 10-28-2004 03:56 PM

get your alignment done and then get a set of Azenis's... Theyre definately the stickiest tire for the price

Tchleung 10-28-2004 05:30 PM

Yeah. I am still looking for an alignment shop that'll take me. Not sure what tires I'll try next. Right now I'm running Yoko AVS-ES100

Saturn2nr 10-28-2004 06:57 PM

Got something in the mail today... will be installing it and have pics on Sunday. Just gotta get a manual for it now...

mod of the day:

finishing my sandblast setup!!

time to blast some parts:cool:

down_hill_dog 10-29-2004 09:24 AM

why an alignment shop that will "take you"... any alignment shop that has a floor level alignment bay should be just fine.

jeffh 10-29-2004 09:38 AM

toms car is all about the being so slammed it silly. and hes paranoid about getting his wheels wrecked

Tchleung 10-29-2004 12:51 PM

well no. I have beater 17" wheels for front alignments o no worries about wrecking them. as for why theyw on't take me in. most shps here have the ramp style alignment things. and I cannot clear those and it's too much hassle for msot places to sue blocks tog et onto the ramp in the frist palce, then more blocks to raise me up to clear everything. I would even have to drive onto bocks to clear floor level alignment ones. to msot people It looks not THAT low. about average, but the undercarriage hangs alot lower. And with my traction bar, ther eis even less cleaarence. Before I raised it up. the traction bar was exactly 1" off the ground when the suspension was not set.
