that is all...for now :P

jeffh 02-19-2007 08:34 PM

racer__X__33 02-19-2007 10:12 PM

ColinK 02-19-2007 11:04 PM

you get a new job?? haha how come you never did anything to the prelude? Have you sold it yet?

girlcrazy_420 02-19-2007 11:23 PM

Mobil-1 synthetic oil change with a factory ford filter. Removed smog pump and related components, in the proccess of building a EGR "delete kit" to remove all EGR components. Also installed new plugs/wires/cap/rotor today, and I picked up all new shocks/struts and I'm waiting for the lowering kit to arrive as its still in abby. 2.5" drop seems like it may be a little "much"... I guess I'll find out when it gets here.

racer__X__33 02-19-2007 11:46 PM

prelude is gonna be a winter beater..haha...spoon + KGMM + Suspension techs = winter beater...haha...

and yeah, i have a job, and have for the past 2 months?

The EK just needs a little love :P

ask Prosho or 351rusty about doing this, not sure if it applies to your engine.. but apparently you'll lose power and tend to ping and detonate more. for the couple HP you may or may not gain, it's not worth it.. In gas mileage or environmental impact.

down_hill_dog 02-20-2007 12:42 AM

speaking of ping... I was wondering why the car was starting to ping and detonate bad again.

I was able to turn the J&S Safeguard ignition knock computer right off once the Coolingmist water injection kit went on. In the last few weeks, i've been having to pull more and more timing so it would'nt ping.

Finally after being fed up with what was going on, I went through the whole WI kit tonight and found it was a bad ground. Hooked everything up, cleaned up all wiring and re-set the turn on point. Needless to say with the large pulley on, I was able to turn the J&S off once again.

modded a 2" hole in my h-pipe this morning. not impressed. very loud. very gay.

Impulse_rs: man u need to do a bit of learning pretty quick or ur car'll be smoked just like ur others seem to end up.

edit- Hey Craig u prolly already had this in mind, but i'd watch the warmer weather as that'll have a pretty heavy impact on det. as well

well, it was to the point of where it was worse than middle of last summer. only because I had the J&S off, but with the WI on I get zero ping once again.

Car went to Mazda for a complete fluid flush today and new fuel filter.

RRxtar 02-20-2007 07:08 PM

fourtirefire 02-20-2007 07:16 PM

What do you mean? I'm only removing it because it dosnt work. Vacuum lines dangling everywhere, vacuum leaks causing rough idling etc etc... smog pump wasnt even hooked up.. I just finished unplugging everything. When the catalytic converters come off when the new h-pipe gets built, it would serve pointless anyways. Also adds to a much cleaner looking engine compartment. When I first got the car, it wouldnt idle... wouldnt drive... ran on 6 or 7 cylinders, lacking heavy maintence. As far as I'm concerned, its turning out pretty good as I've been spending time replacing things that need fixing.

Got new rear shocks put in today, was going to replace the axle dampers but wasnt sure what purpose they served. Ordered up new sway bar bushings, and the front end is comming apart in the morning to see if I need any ball joints etc. Also solved 2 more vacuum leaks... I finally got that "perfect" idle that i've been trying to get figured out. (turns out some sort of vacuum solinoid was leaking, and found vacuum line on the bottom on the intake plenom)

ColinK 02-21-2007 01:31 PM

installed an intake today and bought a perrin tmic last night. Damn that thing is loud! It sure sounds throatier, but all I hear is the turbo spooling and the bpv sounds just like a bov! :)

So, I think it'll have to come off :(

Dooley 02-21-2007 03:09 PM

I Printed, Cut, Weeded, Premasked and Applicated... a sticker.

And it looks hype :)

ColinK 02-21-2007 04:03 PM
