Here's my newest acquisition. Nothing fancy, but something I've had my eye on awhile...finally found a NOS one for sale. Zodiac Astrographic 2000 with mystery hands (Sorry for crappy photos)

thinking about picking up a my first watch! Its a tissot Sea touch. Great looking watch with awesome features to boot! plus the prices is right.:toot:

I personally can't stand digital and anolog all in one watches.

That being said, if its a special function that is needed for a hobby or job, thats fine.

seiko white samurai (really hard to find one now since it's been discontinued for a quite some time)
been thinking of letting this go because it just sits in the watch box

its nice but wearing it with something that has tighter sleeves looks really funny.

When is a watch too big? That looks gigantic.

skyxx 03-13-2012 01:09 PM

I received my first watch a couple days ago.
My uncle handed this beautiful watch down to me. I don't know much about watches, but this is a Citizen watch which is automatic and requires no batteries.

I'm graduating from high-school soon and going into university for the first time.
This watch will give me a constant reminder to keep on doing well to become successful.

Actually, the "4" is actually the date, it changes automatically.
This photo was taken before I adjusted it to today's date

dru 03-15-2012 09:53 PM

^he meant the roman numerals. Lol, weird...

unit 03-15-2012 10:38 PM

i've seen the IIII thing on other watches before too

ForeverYours 03-15-2012 11:09 PM

Totally didn't notice the "IIII"
Used to distinguish the IV and VI easier?

Edit:
Did some googling and the "IIII" is used to balance the watch
I think it looks nice though :)

Actually... now that I think about it and after googling images of roman dials most are IIII. Your reason makes sense too. I just never had a watch with roman numerals so it was weird to me.

I came across this while shopping for a Hamilton khaki Pilot :lol. I thought a brand like Hamilton had better quality control than this. Hint* look at the 55 marker
